The fashion industry is fast growing and has equally challenging opportunities as in various other sectors such as IT Engineering, thus even in this field, competitive and diligent manpower is required
Therefore, in order to serve the industry with industrious human resources, the SNDT University has acquired a system wherein the students will be selected based on and entrance examination, so that the most deserving candidates are selected and groomed to be focus fashion professionals of tomorrow
Design (4 years): Fashion Design, Fashion Communication, Lifestyle, Textile Design
B.Sc Jewellery Design (3 years)
Eligibility: 10+2 from recognized Board or equivalent
PGD Fashion Retail Management (2 years)-SOFT/SFI
PGD Apparel Manufacturing and Merchandising (2 years)-SFI
PGD Fashion Design (2 years)-SFI
Eligibility: Bachelor degree from a recognized Indian University in any discipline/Bachelor’s degree of any foreign university (Approved by AIU, New Delhi)
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates appearing for their qualifying examinations can also apply
Their admission, however, will be provisional and subject to obtaining the defined eligibility by 10th July, 2012
Proof of the candidates having successfully passed the qualifying examination will have to be produced at the time of joining the programme
In case, candidates do not produce the required documents by 10th July, 2012, their admission will be cancelled with the approved deduction of the fees paid (as prescribed by University)
Non fulfillment of the above conditions will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission
Reservation of Seats: The candidates belonging to Maharashtra and following categories SC/ST/ NT/ OBC/ SCB are required to pay a draft of Rs 500/- with the recent official cast proof for appearing CET examination
Reservation policy shall be applicable as per the state government rules
The candidate belonging to the reservation category having domicile certificates of the concerned states shall be considered eligible for the concession prescribed by the concerned govt
Scholarship and free ship shall be applicable as per the state Govt rules
50% concession against the fees for the application form of CET for the candidates’ belonging to the reservation category prescribed by the concerned state Govt subject to the attachment of necessary attested documentary proof of the caste certificates of the recent year along with the application form

The percentage will vary programme-wise which will be indicated at the time of declaration of results and is subject to availability of necessary infrastructure

The qualifying candidates need to meet the eligibility and admission requirements of SNDT Women’s University
The candidates applying for the entrance examination should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria for admission to the examination
If on verification at any time before or after the written test and interview, it is found that candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria, her candidature for the examination shall stand cancelled without any notice or further reference
The examination will be conducted in almost 16 different cities of the country on 27th May 2012
Final admission based on the merit list of CET with the further condition of minimum passing in HSC or equivalent exam
The students will be given preferences of the colleges on the basis of merit list of the common entrance test
First preference will be considered up to the given strength of the college and then the second preference shall be considered
The SNDT common entrance test committee reserves the rights for any required changes
Admissions for reservation category students as per SNDT women’s university/Govt of Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh rules

Admit Card: On the basis of information given in the SNDTCET application form, admit card of provisionally eligible candidates will be issued so that the provisionally eligible candidates will receive their admit cards
The candidates are required to download the admit card from the SNDTCET website http://www.sndtcet.in on or after 24th May, 2012 the candidates may request one of the affiliated colleges to provide the same with the necessary charges, prescribed by concern college
The candidates are required to affix their photograph (similar to that affixed on the application form) on the downloaded admit card and get it attested for producing at the examination centre
Candidate without the admit card or without the photograph on the downloaded admit card will not be permitted to appear in the written entrance examination

How to Apply: Fill the SNDTCET application form on-line
Visit the SNDTCET website http://www.sndtcet.in for applying online
Provide details from the demand draft at the time of online submission of application form
You are required to obtain a demand draft for Rs 1000/- drawn in favour of Registrar SNDT women’s university, Payable at Mumbai, to be send to any of the college listed
The candidates belonging to Maharashtra and following categories SC/ST/NT/OBC/SCB are required to pay a draft of Rs 500/- with the recent official cast proof for appearing CET examination
Application can be submitted by a candidate only once and against only one of the programmes which means candidate has only one choice of selection of one of the programmes offered on this website. Hence, you are advised to apply for the programme, most suiting to your qualification
After filling the form correctly, submit the same by clicking the button submit where by the data filled by you will be captured
On successful submission of online application form, a unique auto generated application form number will be allotted which will appear on print version of the application form
Please save the print version of application form using save as function and after that you should take the print out
You must keep an additional print out of the application form for all future references
After taking the print out, affix your passport size photograph in the space provided and attach the demand draft of requisite amount with the print version of application
