Punjab Agricultural University Admission 2021 – Punjab Agricultural University invites applications from interested candidates for admission to various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma and PhD programs offered for the academic year 2021-22. Admission through Entrance Test Based Courses – CET & AAT

  • UG Programs : B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture, B.Tech (Biotechnology), B.Tech (Food Technology)  & B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture 2+4 year at Institute of Agriculture, Bathinda and Gurdaspur.

 

Admission through Entrance Test Based Courses – MET

  • Master’s Programs : Agricultural Meteorology, Agronomy, Entomology, Extension Education, Food Technology, Plant Breeding & Genetics, Plant Pathology, Soil Science & Biotechnology

 

Admission through Entrance Test Based Courses – PET

  • Application process :- ongoing
  • All programmes having Entrance Test due date :- 16th June 2021
  • All programmes having Entrance Test with late fee of Rs. 1000 :- 21th June 2021
  • Ph.D. Programmes due date :- 14th October 2021
  • Ph.D. Programmes with late fee of Rs. 1000 :- 21th October 2021
  • Admit card will be uploaded on PAU website 7 days before the conduct of the entrance examination.

Eligibility Criteria for Punjab Agricultural University Admissions 2021

 

  • For B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture : 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology/ Agriculture with at least 50% marks in aggregate/ Two year Diploma in Agriculture.
  • For B.Tech (Biotechnology) : 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology/ Agriculture with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
  • For B.Tech (Food Technology) : 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology/ Agriculture with at least 50% marks in aggregate/ Certificate course in Food Processing and Preservation from SLIET, Longowal.
  • For B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture 2+4 year at Institute of Agriculture, Bathinda and Gurdaspur : Matriculation or equivalent with at least 65% marks in aggregate with Math and Science as compulsory subjects.
  • For Masters’ programs : The minimum qualifications for admission to Masters’ program (other than inservice candidates) shall be an OCPA of 6.00 or 60% marks or equivalent at the graduation level as shown against respective discipline (s).
  • For Ph.D. Programs : The minimum qualifications for admission to Ph.D. programme (other than inservice candidates and ICAR nominees) shall be an OCPA of 7.00 or 70% marks or equivalent at Master’s level and an OCPA of 5.50 or 55% marks or equivalent at Bachelor’s level as shown against respective discipline (s).
  • For Diploma Programs : 10+2 or equivalent.

Punjab Agricultural University Admissions 2021 Application Process

 

  • Candidates can apply either through online or offline Mode

Online Mode

  • Applicants have to pay Rs. 5640/- for Entrance Test that includes the cost of downloaded form/Prospectus (Rs 610/- for additional option in MET-Agri & MET-Community Science). Applicants opting for both CET and BSET will have to pay Rs. 7740/-.
  • A valid unique email ID is necessary for uploading each application form.
  • Candidates can visit the PAU official website www.pau.edu to apply.

Offline Mode

  • Applicants have to pay Rs. 4200/- for each Entrance Test (Rs 610/- for additional option in MET-Agri and MET-Community Science) in addition to cost of the Prospectus (Rs. 2120/- at the Counter or RS. 2260/- by Post). Applicants opting for both CET and BSET will have to pay Rs. 6300/-.
  • Prospectus and application form can be obtained from The Additional Director of Communication, Communication Centre, PAU, Ludhiana–141 004 (near University Gate Number 1) personally on payment of Rs. 2120/- in cash at the counter or by post by sending bank draft of Rs. 2260/- in favour of Additional Director of Communication, payable at Ludhiana. The name of the programme for which the form is required should be mentioned in the request and also at the back of the bank draft.

Selection Process

  •  Selection will be based on three different written examinations conducted by the University for Admission to these courses.
  • The candidates are required to follow these counselling instructions and participate in the counselling/ document verification/ interview.
