Admission notice-2010

Applications are invited for admission to the following courses in the university teaching departments and PG regional centre, Mirpur (Rewari)

Courses with entrance test: M.A. in English*, Economics, Geography, Journalism and Mass Communication, Psychology, M.Sc in Biochemistry, Genetics, Botany, Environmental Science, Environmental Biotechnology, Zoology, Medical Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Agricultural Biotechnology, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Medical Lab, Technology, Forensic Science, Fermentation and Microbial Technology, Microbiology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics*, Mathematics with Computer Science, LL.M., M.P.Ed., B.P.Ed

Entrance test will be held on 01.07.2010, 02.07.2010 and 05.07.2010 (as per detail given in HBI)

Courses where entrance test is not required: 5 year integrated programmes (leading to M.A./M.Sc/M.Com degree); Mathematics (Hons), Economics (Hons), Commerce and Visual Arts (Painting 6 years)

M.A/M.Sc/M.Com programmes: Statistics, Hindi, Defence studies, Fine Arts, Sanskrit, Music, Political Science, Public administration, History*, Education, Sociology, M.Com*, Mater in Retail Management, M.L.I.Sc

Diploma/certificate programme: PG diploma in Translation (Hindi-English), P.G. diploma in Remote Sensing and GIS, Certificate course in Urdu, 3-year advance diploma in dance, one year certificate course in Harmonium

(*courses are also available at MDU, PG Regional centre, Mirpur (Rewari)

Admission to the courses will be made on the basis of academic merit as defined in chapter-6 of HBI

10% seats over and above the sanctioned intake are available for actual NRIs and their children or wards. Seats are also available for outstanding sports persons, participants of cultural activities and Kashmiri migrants. Admissions of these categories shall be made on the basis of marks of the qualification examinations

HBI containing all details and application form will be available on University sale counter from 24.05.2010 for Rs 400/- (Rs 100/- in case of SC/BC candidates of Haryana only) and by post from the incharge (Publications), M.D. University, Rohtak upto 07.06.2010 by sending a crossed bank draft of Rs 450/- (Rs 150/- in case of SC/BC candidates of Haryana only) drawn in favour of finance officer, MD University, Rohtak payable at Rohtak

The HBI will also be available on cash payment at MDU, PG Regional centre, Mirpur (Rewari) and Institute of Law and Management studies, sector-40, Gurgaon

The application form complete in all respect must reach to the Head of the department concerned for the courses in University Teaching Departments and to the Director, PGRC, Mirpur for the courses in PGRC Mirpur by 14.06.2010 (up to 5.00 p.m.). The applications received late shall be rejected

HBI and application form can also be downloaded from University website www.mdurohtak.com and should be accompanied with a bank draft drawn in favour of finance officer, MD University, Rohtak for Rs 400/- (Rs 100/- in case of SC/BC candidates of Haryana only)
