Institute of Hotel Management, Faridabad invites applications from boys and girls for admission to Job Oriented Diploma Courses in Food Production/Food and Beverage Service/Housekeeping

Minimum qualification: Pass in the examination of 10+2 system of senior secondary education or its equivalent with English as one of the compulsory subject

Age limit: 22 years as on 1.7.2010. Age is relaxable by 3 years in case of SC/BC applicants

Reservation: As per Haryana Govt Norms

How to apply: Information brochure cum application form is available from the o/o the Institute on payment of Rs 350/- or by post companying demand draft for Rs 400/- drawn in favour of Institute of Hotel Management payable at Faridabad

Candidates are short listed on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying examinations. Number of candidates short listed for personal interview will normally be three times the number of vacancies

Interview: Personal interview is held with a view to determine candidate’s interactive ability and level of general awareness. Marks obtained by candidates are clubbed with the marks obtained in qualifying examination to finalize the selection list. Candidates finally selected for admission are intimated on the same day

Interview schedule: Interviews will be held at Institute of Hotel Management, Badkhal Lake Crossing, Faridabad as per the day/date/time mentioned against each diploma course

Diploma Course in Food Production: July 01, 2010/Thursday/9 a.m.

Diploma Course in Food and Beverage Service: July 02, 2010/Friday/ 9 a.m.

Diploma Course in Housekeeping: July 03, 2010/Saturday/9 a.m.

Admissions: Candidates who are finally selected as per the prescribed procedure will be admitted on payment of the first term fee immediately on declaration of selection list failing which their selection will stand cancelled. Admission will be on first come first basis

Physical fitness: Candidates applying for admission are required to submit a physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner as per the prescribed format given in the Information brochure. Admission to the course will be granted only if the candidate is found to be physically fit for pursuing the course of study

Scholarship: Scholarship is provided to eligible SC/BC candidates under govt of India Post Matric Scholarship scheme

Awards: Successful candidates are awarded Diploma Certificates by National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Noida (U.P)

Assessment parameters: Candidates admitted to the diploma courses are required to appear in the in-house mid term examination to be conducted by the Institute during 21.2.2011 to 4.3.2011. Annual examinations are held on All India basis by the National Council for Hotel Management during the May every year. After the annual examination the trainees are required to undergo industrial training of six months duration.
