Banaras Hindu University (BHU) Varanasi announces Certificate Course in Statistical Methods 2019

BHU Certificate Course in Statistical Methods Admission 2019 – Banaras Hindu University announces admission to Certificate Course in Statistical Methods for 2019 session for One Year by the Department of Statistics for evening classes.

 

Important Dates

  1. The last date for receiving completed application (duly forwarded by Dean/Director/Head (as the case may be applicable) in the Department is 20th August 2019.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. The minimum qualification for appearing in the Entrance Test will be Higher Secondary (+2) or courses which are equivalent.
  2. The course is open to the Under Graduate and Post Graduate students of the university, affiliated colleges and members of the staff of the university.
  3. Further, the students with the special permission of the college / faculty admission committees, students deputed by the Govt., public bodies, industrial concerns or who are recommended by the Professors and Head of the Departments in the university are also eligible.
  4. Foreign students may also join the course with the special permission of the admission committee of the college / faculty/department concerned.
  5. However, persons who have/had offered Statistics as one of the full-term courses either at UG or PG level of their study are not eligible to apply for the course.

 

Entrance Test

  1. Note: The date for Entrance Test (if applicable) for admission to the said course will be declare later on.
  2. The Entrance Test of one hour duration with maximum marks 270, comprising of 90 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) out of which 30 questions will be on General Knowledge, 30 questions on Mental Ability and 30 questions on Elementary Mathematics of High School Level.
  3. 3 marks will be assigned to each correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted to each incorrect answer.

  1. The application forms for admission in the Certificate Course in Statistical Methods for one year can be downloaded from the website www.bhu.ac.in (http://internet.bhu.ac.in/admission/)
  2. The duly filled in application form should reach to the office of the Head, Department of Statistics, BHU on or before 20th August 2019.
