NIT Calicut MBA Admission – National Institute of Technology (NIT), Calicut invites applications from eligible candidates for admissions to two-years full-time MBA programme offered by the Department of Management Studies (DMS) under Regular-CAT/Industry-Sponsored for the academic session 2024-26.

National Institute of Technology Calicut, formerly Regional Engineering College Calicut, is a public technical university and an institute of national importance governed by the NIT Act passed by the Parliament of India. NIT Calicut is one of the top-ranked Architecture institutes in India. Eligibility Criteria
MBA (Regular-CAT)
- Prospective candidates should have acquired Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or Institution with an aggregate minimum 60% marks (or CGPA 6.0/10) for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL and 55% marks (or CGPA 5.5/10) for SC/ST/PwD. They should have a valid Common Admission Test (CAT) score conducted by IIMs in 2023
MBA (Industry Sponsored)
- Prospective candidates should have acquired Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or Institution with an aggregate minimum 60% marks (or CGPA 6.0/10) for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC and 55% marks (or CGPA 5.5/10) for SC/ST/PwD. In addition to the above qualifications, a minimum of 2 years of continuous industrial/research experience in the relevant organizations is also mandatory at the time of submitting application for candidates seeking admissions under the industry sponsored category.
Sponsored Candidates
- Candidates sponsored by their employers to pursue an MBA at NIT Calicut, should forward their application through proper channels
- Applicants with a valid score in national level entrance tests such as CAT/CMAT or equivalent would be preferred. Students are selected based on their performance in a Personal Interview.
Intake
- The total intake of regular students for the year 2024 would be 75. Intake for Sponsored candidates for the year 2024 is five.
Reservation
- Reservation of seats for different castes, tribes and other categories shall be as per the directives from MHRD, Government of India.
How to Apply – Application Process
The application can be submitted on-line through the Institute website www.nitc.ac.in following the steps given below.
- Pay the registration fee. Payment has to be made through State Bank Collect (online) with the following link: https://www.onlinesbi.sbi/sbicollect/icollecthome.htm?corpID=365553, using Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card by choosing the payment category as 2024-25 MBA(Regular /Industry/Self Sponsor) Appn fee (Select Kerala → Educational Institutions → Director, National institute of Technology Calicut → 2024-25 MBA(Regular/ Industry/Self Sponsor) Appn fee) . After successful completion of the fee payment, save the fee payment receipt for uploading along with the application form. Application fee is Rs.1000/- for OPEN/OBC/EWS/PwD candidates and Rs.500/- for SC/ST candidates. Application fee is Non-refundable.

- Register with your e-mail id and mobile number for creating a login in the online portal.
- Upload colored scan copy of the following documents in the portal.
- Mark sheet of Class X
- Photo ID proof as per Govt. of India norms.
- Mark sheet of Class XII (The candidates who have appeared for improvement has to upload both the original and the improvement mark sheets)
- Grade/Mark sheets of qualifying examination for all semesters (Mark sheets of all semesters/ years need to be combined to a single pdf for uploading/ Consolidated Grade (Mark) sheet with all subjects mentioned in it).
- Degree/ Provisional certificate. If the result of qualifying degree is awaited, certificate of course completion from the institute/university last studied must be provided clearly indicating the date of completion of the course.
- Degree Certificates of PG/PG Diploma/ Diploma, if any.
- Certificates of work experience (if a candidate possess experience for more than one year).
- Certificates of academic and extracurricular achievements, if applicable
- Copy of CAT admit card and CAT score card (2023).

Selection Process
- The selection will be based on scores obtained in CAT and performance in the group discussion / personal interviews. Credits will be accounted for work experience, scores of Graduation, PG/ PG Diploma, 10th and 12th Class etc.
- Communication regarding the center of interview would be sent separately. Interviews were conducted previously in Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, apart from Calicut.
