Character Sketch of Arunima Sinha
Arunima Sinha is an embodiment of physical strength and mental toughness. Her strength lies in her sense of determination which made the impossible possible. Despite getting disabled, she displayed unbelievable courage and mental strength by vowing to scale the Everest. She showed hardwork and determination by making efforts to achieve her aim. Arunima is an inspiration for amputees as well as the abled. She left no stone unturned to achieve her goal. Alongwith fulfilling her dream, Arunima continued her job in the Paramilitary forces which gave her income and also helped her foster her interest in sports. The once national-level volleyball player remained unfettered despite being amputated and getting a prosthetic leg. She faced life’s challenges and overcame them with perseverance. Even Bachendri Pal could see her mental toughness and commented that her decision to scale the Everest showed her mental toughness, she had conquered the battle within.
