1. In Indirect speech, Conjunction ‘that’, ‘if’, ‘whether’, ‘to’ is used to join the two sentences.

2. If there is Present or Future tense in the direct speech, then tense of indirect speech will not change.

3. If there is Past tense in the direct speech, then tense of indirect speech changes as mentioned below.

6. Tense of Historical / Universal truths does not change while converting direct speech into indirect speech

7.  When the pronoun in Reporting speech is in first person, it changes according to the subject of the Reporting verb
