WBJEE exam Result 2024: Marking Scheme to Prepare WBJEEB results

While preparing the results of WBJEE 2024, the authorities will use the WBJEE 2024 marking scheme.

Note that, there is no negative marking for Category 3.

WBJEE Result 2024 – Tie Breaking Procedure

There may arise a case when two or more candidates secure the same rank in WBJEE 2024. During these situations, the following tie-breaking guidelines will be followed in the given order:

 

  • Candidates with lesser collective negative marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry will be given a higher rank.
  • If the tie still exists, then the candidate with more collective positive marks in Mathematics and Physics will be ranked higher.
  • If the tie is still not broken, then the candidate with more collective positive marks in Mathematics and Chemistry will be ranked higher.
  • If the tie still persists, then the candidate with lesser collective negative marks in Mathematics and Physics will be allotted a higher rank.
  • If the tie has not been broken, the candidate with lesser collective negative marks in Mathematics and Chemistry will be given a higher rank.
  • If the tie still exists, then the candidate with more positive marks in Mathematics for only the 2 marks questions will be ranked higher.
  • If the tie is yet present, the candidate with more positive marks in Physics for only the 2 marks questions will be given a higher rank.
  • If the tie is still ongoing, the candidate with more positive marks in Chemistry for only the 2 marks questions will be allotted a higher rank.
  • If the tie still persists, the candidate with lesser negative marks in Mathematics for only the 2 marks questions will be ranked higher.
  • If the tie still exists, the candidate with lesser negative marks in Physics for only the 2 marks questions will be given a higher rank.
  • If the tie still persists, the candidate with lesser negative marks in Chemistry for only the 2 marks questions will be allotted a higher rank.
  • If in case a tie still exists after the application of the above tie-breaking rules, the candidate’s date of birth will be taken into consideration. In such cases, the older candidate is considered for admission.

  • Candidates should download WBJEE rank card 2024 and keep it safe for future.
  • Candidates’ All India Rank and marks secured by them in total and also individual scores of each subject will be mentioned in the WBJEE result.
  • Candidates have to pay the additional charges to download the WBJEE score card/ rank card if they fail to download it within specified dates.

WBJEE Result 2024: Availability of seats under the TFW Scheme

  • The WBJEE Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFW) has been implemented by the Government of West Bengal for meritorious and economically backward students.
  • The student must be domiciled in West Bengal and his/her total annual Family Income from all sources must be less than Rs. 2.50 lakhs (Rupees two lakhs and fifty thousand only)
  • The waiver is limited to the Tuition Fee only. All other fees will have to be paid by the student.
