Character Sketch of Sausage (Narrator)

Sausage is a young boy who is chubby and sometimes teased with the nickname “Sausage.” He has a good-natured and humorous attitude. Sausage is an excellent swimmer and floats easily due to his body structure. However, he lacks confidence in diving and duck-diving because he has to remove his glasses to swim, and without glasses he can’t see clearly. His first attempt at duck-diving is filled with self-doubt and fear, but he bravely overcomes it. Though he accidentally picks up an old tin box instead of a brick, he gains confidence and later, successfully gets the brick. Sausage’s journey shows his courage, growth, and ability to face challenges. He keeps the tin box as a symbol of achievement. This act shows the value of small wins.
