Nirma University Integrated BBA-MBA Admission 2018 - Nirma University Institute of Management has released notification for the admission to the BBA - MBA (Five year Integrated) Program for the academic year 2018-19


About the Nirma University

  • Nirma University is statutory University established under the Gujarat State Act and listed under Section 2(f) of UGC Act Institute of Management under Nirma University offers BBA - MBA (Five Year Integrated Program) and this programis in line with the University UGC regulation
  • AICTE circular does not given any direction to the UGC approved BBA-MBA (Five Year Integrated Program) and it is related to AICTE approved BA/BAM/MAM Programs
  • The AICTE circular does not have any impact on BBA-MBA (Five Year Integrated Program) offered by Institute of Management, Nirma University)

No. of Seats

  • The number of seats is 120
  • Over and above the intake, 15% seats are also allocated to Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Foreign Students/Children of Indians working in Gulf countries and South East Asia

Eligibility Criteria

All India Category (65%):

  • 65% of total in-take shall be filled from the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from schools located in India (including Gujarat State) and have appeared for UGAT for the corresponding academic year.
  • Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC)/(10+2) Examination or any other equivalent examination recognised by Nirma University with minimum 60% aggregate marks with English as one of the subjects.
  • The age of the candidates shall be not more than 20 years as on 1st July of the year of admission

Gujarat State category (20%):

  • 20% of the total in-take shall be filled from the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from the schools located in the State of Gujarat.
  • Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC)/(10+2) Examination or any other equivalent examination recognised by Nirma University with minimum 90% aggregate marks with first attempt and English as one of the subjects.
  • The age of the candidates shall be not more than 20 years as on 1st July of the year of admission

NRI Category (15%):

  • 15% of the total intake will be filled by Institute of Management, Nirma University with following eligibility criteria.

For NRI Candidates:

  • Candidate must have passed the qualifying examination with 60% aggregate marks from abroad.
  • The age of the candidates shall be not more than 20 years as on 1st July of the year of admission.
  • Candidate will have to produce equivalence certificate of qualifying examination from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.

For NRI Sponsored Candidates:

  • Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Examination (10+2) or any other equivalent examination recognized by Nirma University with minimum 60% aggregate marks with English as one of the subjects.
  • The age of the candidates shall be not more than 20 years as on 1st July of the year of admission.
  • Candidate must have passed the qualifying examination in India and must have appeared in UGAT-2018.

BBA-MBA Admissions- CIWGC-SEA/PIO/FN Categories (5%):

  • 15% of total seats in each programme being conducted at the constituent institutes of the University, is available for admission under the Supernumerary category, out of which one-third i.e 5% seats are earmarked for CIWGC-SEA.

 

Selection Process

All India Category (65%) and NRI Sponsored Category:

  • Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Admission Test [UGAT] will be called for Personal Interview. The interview will be conducted in selected cities viz Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Indore, Delhi, Jaipur, and Mumbai.
  • Candidates will be finally selected for admission based on the candidates’ performance in the Admission Test, Personal Interview and Academic Performance in XII
  • The final selection shall be determined based on the following criteria:
  • Weightage of UGAT Scores: 50%
  • Weightage of performance in Personal Interview: 30%
  • Academic performance in qualifying exam: 20%
  • For Gujarat State category (20%)

For Gujarat State Category (20%):

  • The final selection shall be determined based on the following criteria:
  • Weightage of the qualifying exam: 70%
  • Weightage of performance in Personal Interview: 30%

For NRI (Self), CIWGC-SEA, PIO, FN and SAARC:

  • Candidates applying in the above category are not required to appear for UGAT and admission selection process will be purely based on the merit of qualifying examination

Fee Details

  • Candidates who are going to take admission in BBA-MBA integrated course shall have to pay the below given fee. Candidates must refer these details as these details are obtained from the official website

For BBA Phase

  • Tuition Fee (General Category) - Rs 201,200 per annum
  • Foreign Nationals/PIO Tuition Fee - US$ 6500 or equivalent in Indian Rupees per annum
  • NRI Tuition Fee - US$ 6500 or equivalent in Indian Rupees per annum
  • Gulf & South East Asia (CIWGC-SEA) Tuition Fee - US$ 4000 or equivalent in Indian Rs
  • Activity Fee - Rs.10000/- per annum
  • Examination Fee - Rs.7000/- per annum

For MBA Phase

  • Tuition Fee - The fees of the regular MBA Program

 

Application Procedure

  • All India Category & NRI Sponsored Category: Candidates applying admissions under All India Category and NRI Sponsored category are required to apply and appear for the admission test UGAT (Under Graduate Aptitude Test) to be conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) on May 12, 2018 at various centers of India

  • In addition to UGAT application form, the candidates are also required to apply for Institute of Management, Nirma University
  • Candidates applying under Gujarat State Category (in qualifying examination minimum aggregate 90% of marks) and NRI (Self) Category need not appear for entrance test (UGAT)
