Admission to the 10th Batch of MBA Programme 2008-10 

The School of Management Studies (SMS) at the University of Hyderabad offers two-year full time AICTE approved residential MBA Programme. Courses offered at SMS are aimed at rooming well-rounded Mangers and equipping them with expertise both in functional as well as intra and inter personal areas. Personal Effectiveness, Personality Development and Soft Skills apart from others receive adequate attention.  

SMS is backed by highly accomplished faculty. The University is ranked among the top 5 Universities in the country and has the distinction of being identified as University with Potential for Excellence by the University Grants Commission.  

Eligibility: Students who wish to apply for admission to this programme at the top 5 Universities in the country and has the distinction of being identified as University with Potential for Excellence by the University of Hyderabad during the Academic year 2008-09. (a) Should have completed a three year bachelor’s degree programme (or its equivalent) in any discipline in an institution recognized by the Association of Indian universities/AICTE, by June 2008. Those completing their final examinations by June 2008 can also apply; (b) should have applied for CAT-2007 scheduled on 19.11.2007 (The IIMs CAT advertisement appeared in leading, newspapers on 17th July 2007 scheduled on the university of Hyderabad indicating their CAT Registration Number and Test Centre Code by November 23,2007 to the Deputy Registrar (Acad. & Exams) University of Hyderabad, PO Central University, Hyderabad 23, 2007 to The Deputy Registrar (Acad. & Exams) University of Hyderabad, PO Central University, Hyderabad 500046.

 
How to Apply: Prospectus-cum-applications forms can be obtained in person or by post from 4th October 2007 on all working days form The Dy. Registrar (Acad. & Exams) at the above address against cash payment as follows:

Each copy of Prospectus-cum-Application From costs Rs. 300/- for General Category candidates and Rs. 50/- for SC/ST/PH category candidates drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, University of Hyderabad payable at State Bank of India, HU Campus Branch (Code No. 5916), Hyderabad – 46 or Andhra Bank, Nampally Branch (Code No. 378), Hyderabad- 500001.  

The Prospectus-cum-Application form can also be downloaded form the University’s website at www.uohyd.emet.in. From October 4th, 2007. The downloaded application form, duly filled in as per the instructions and with supporting papers should be sent to the Deputy Registrar (Acad. & Exams) together with a Bank Draft of Rs. 150/- in the case of General and Rs. 50/- in the case of SC/ST/PH category.

• Candidates short-listed for Group Discussion and Interview will be notified by the end of February 2008, based on their percentile scores obtained in the CAT Test 2007.
• Group Discussion/Interviews will be held at the University of Hyderabad Campus for the short-listed candidates in March 2008.
• Admissions will be finalized by the end of March 2008.
• The School of Management Studies at the University will be using CAT Results for short-listing the candidates for its two year-full time MBA Programme. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.
