It is said that money is the most important thing in life, however, time is more valuable because although money can make things happen, time once lost is gone for ever while money lost can be regained later.
Thus we see the fleeting nature of time. One must remain alert and active at all times so that one can take the best use of an opportunity. If one lets the time pass, the opportunity will go away and such occasions are rare. Every second of time is important and these small seconds add up to make the bigger units of minutes, hours, days and so on.
The verse by a poet – ‘Art is long and time is fleeting,’ implies that we have a lot of work to do while time is running by fast. One doesn’t know when life will come to an end and with every passing moment, one is getting closer to death.
Punctuality is an important quality and one must respect the clock to get success in life. If one wastes time, then upon getting failure, there is no use in blaming the stars. The God Yaksha asked Kunti’s son King Yudhishtira that what was the best time to do something. The king replied that the best time was the present time. One must stay away from procrastination. In today’s fast-paced world of globalization and computerization, wastage of even a part of a second can lead to doom.

If you do not make the best use of time and do not take time by the forelock, you are destined to be doomed.
