Candidates who wish to appear for the MHT CET exam need to fill the application form. The MHT CET Computer based Test will be conducted from April 16, 2024 to May 2, 2024. Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET), is a state-level entrance test used to select applicants for admission to engineering and pharmacy programs at various colleges throughout Maharashtra state. The exam is conducted every year by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell.

MHT CET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates preparing for the MHT CET 2024 exam must fulfil the eligibility criteria as defined in the Information Brochure by the authorities. Some of the important points of MHT CET 2024 eligibility criteria are as below:

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell (MHT CET) will release the MHT CET Application form for 2024 on their official website in March 2024. The MHT CET Application Form needs to be filled online. No offline applications would be accepted by the authorities.

Step 1: Candidates willing to register for the MHT CET exam should first go to the official website. Click on the “New Registration” button.

 

Step2 : Check out the prerequisite note for MHT CET registration 2024, and click on “I Accept and Proceed”. 

 

Step 3 : Candidates must add personal details and create an ID and password to complete the MHT-CET application form.

 

Step 4: After creating a registered ID, candidates must mention if they are domiciled in Maharashtra, belong to a particular reservation category, and suffer from a disability.

 

Step 5: Next, candidates must enter their qualification details for SSC / HSC. After that, candidates have to select their subjects and preferred exam centres.

 

Step 6: Then upload the photo, scanned signature and preview the form once to check if all the details are correct. After reviewing all the details, candidates must submit the form and pay the application fee.

 

Step 7: Candidates must pay the application fee online via credit/ debit card/ net banking/ mobile wallets.

MHT CET 2024 Exam Pattern

MHT CET is conducted for admissions to Engineering and Pharmacy courses. Candidates who wish to take admission into Engineering Courses must appear in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Paper and candidates who wish to go into Pharmacy courses must appear for Physics, Chemistry and Biology Paper. 

 

MHT CET 2024 PCM exam will consist of 2 sections, each of which will be for 100 marks. The first section will be on Mathematics and the second section of Physics and Chemistry. Similarly, In PCB exam, the first section will be of Biology and second section of Physics and Chemistry.

MHT CET 2024 Preparation Tips

Candidates can follow the below-mentioned preparation tips to improve their MHT CET preparation levels:

 

  • Create a time-table to finish studying the whole syllabus. 
  • Practise Mock Test to increase speed and accuracy. 
  • Note down doubts and try solving them yourself first, then seek expert guidance.
  • On finding any question difficult, make sure not to waste time trying to solve it. Instead, move to the next question and, if time permits, come back to this question later.

The MHT CET 2024 counselling session will tentatively start in July/August 2024. Candidates can check the counselling details below:

 

  • The counselling process will take place online.
  • The seat allotment for admission in different UG Colleges through MHT CET 2024 is conducted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP).
  • Candidates must submit the online application forms before the last date to get admission into UG courses of the colleges of Maharashtra.
  • In the counselling registration form, candidates must fill in their choices in decreasing order of their preference.
  • The Centralised Admission Process (CAP), under the guidance of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra, will handle the MHT CET counselling.
  • There is no counselling fee for candidates who clear the MHT CET. The selection process is based on the merit list.
