Karnataka DCET 2024 – Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) invites applications for the Diploma Common Entrance Test (DCET) 2024 for admission to first year Architecture courses and 2nd Year / 3rd Semester Engineering Courses under Lateral Entry Scheme for Day Engineering Colleges to Diploma Candidates in Karnataka for the academic year 2024

Important Dates

  • Commencement of Registration and filling of Application-cum-verification module: 20th April 2024
  • Last Date to Fill the Application Online: 03rd May 2024 up to 11.59 pm
  • Last Date to Pay the Application Fees-Online: 06th May 2024 up to 06.00 pm
  • Downloading of Admission Tickets for DCET-2024 from KEA Website: Will be notified later
  • Online Mode & Method of Conducting DCET-2024 Exam Date: Will be notified later

 

Eligibility Criteria for Karnataka DCET 2024

  • For B.E Courses (Only Day Eng. College): Passed any diploma exam or equivalent exam and obtained an aggregate minimum of 45% marks taken together in all the subjects of the final year (Fifth and sixth semester) diploma Examination (Q.E) is eligible for admission to B.E courses, and 40% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Backward Classes of Karnataka candidates.
  • For B.E Courses (Evening Eng. College): Passed any diploma exam or equivalent exam and obtained an aggregate minimum of 45% marks taken together in all the subjects of the final year (Fifth and sixth semester) diploma Exam (Q.E) is eligible for admission to B.E. courses, and 40% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Backward Classes of Karnataka candidates.
  • For B. Arch Course (Only in Day Eng. College): Passed any diploma exam or equivalent exam and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects of the final year (Fifth and sixth semester) Diploma Exam (Q.E) is eligible for admission to 1st year B. Architecture course, and 45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and BC of Karnataka candidates along with 40% marks in NATA conducted by Council of Architecture
  • Note: Candidates who have obtained Diploma in Architecture are eligible only for Admission to 1st Year Architecture engineering course, provided they have valid NATA Score in NATA conducted by Council of Architecture

 

Application Process

  • Eligible candidates can apply online only through official website https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/

Steps to follow

  • Step 1: Enter all the details Online by browsing URL on website https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/ by selecting “DCET-2024”
  • Step 2: Upload the scanned copy of recent passport size Colour Photo and Signature in JPEG format separately
  • Step 3: Take the printout of the Challan Copy, which is in Duplicate/Triplicate. Candidates have to pay an amount of Rs.650/- for General OBC (Rs.500/- for SC/ST Category-1 only for Karnataka candidates)
  • Step 4: Candidates have to take the printout of the application form on A-4 Size sheet of paper.

  • For General and OBC Candidates – Rs. 650/-
  • For SC / ST and Category-1 of Karnataka candidates only Rs.500/-
  • Mode of Payment – Through online mode

  • Mode of Exam: Offline mode
  • Duration: 3 hours
  • Types of Questions: Multiple Choice Question (MCQ)
  • Total Marks: 180 marks
  • Marking scheme: There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
  • Kannada Language Test for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates
  • Duration: 1 hour
  • Total Marks: 50 marks
  • Test center: Bangalore only
