As per the report, a senior official from KEA said that the proposal will be put in front of the governing council during the council meeting scheduled for next week for the discussion.

Although the KEA has already begun with the preparations for the test to go online, but due to opposition from various quarters arguing that an online system would make it difficult for students in rural areas, it has been delayed. Majority of students registered for CET are from  rural parts and most of these students have no exposure to internet and usage of computer, which will make it difficult for them to crack the CET.

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) is a gateway for those aspiring students who want to pursue engineering, architecture, agriculture and veterinary sciences courses in the state of Karnataka.
