As per the report by NDTV, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program for the January, 2019 session. The online applications are invited from the candidates for IGNOU B.Ed admission program. Applicants can submit the forms through online mode only at https://onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in/admission/
 

IGNOU B.Ed Admission 2019 Notification

 
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) B.Ed. program has been designed with the aim to develop an understanding of teaching-learning process at secondary and senior-secondary level among student teachers. The objective of the program is on enabling student-teachers to reflect critically on perspectives of education and integrate holistically the theory and practices to facilitate active engagement of learners for knowledge creation.
 
The B.Ed. Program of IGNOU is recognized by the NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education).  The admission to the IGNOU B.Ed program will be based on Entrance Test.
 
IGNOU’s B.Ed program is of two years and will be taught in English and Hindi.
 
As per the report the last date to apply for IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Exam is November 15, 2018. The entrance test for the admission will be held in the month of December. The date for the entrance test will be announced later.
 

Eligibility Criteria for IGNOU B.Ed Admission 2019

• Candidates with least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Commerce/Humanity OR  Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualifications equivalent thereto  are eligible to apply.
• In addition the following categories are eligible to be students of B.Ed. (ODL):

• • Trained in-service teachers in elementary education
  • Candidates who have completed a NCTE recognized teacher education programme through face-to face mode.
