EAMCET 2019 – As per the report of Telangana Today the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has made the announcement that admissions for Engineering, Agriculture and Medical courses in universities, and constituent and private colleges will continued to be conducted through Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) only for the academic year 2019. As the students were confused after All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) proposed to conduct a single entrance examination pan India, conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for engineering admissions

Ever since the proposal was announced by AICTE, several states objected for the reason that states would lose their autonomy over admissions and on the other hand, students would still have to appear for multiple examinations because single engineering test would not cover all national institutes, including Indian Institutes of Technology, National Institutes of Technology, Indian Institutes of Information Technology and Centrally Funded Technical Institutions admissions. Students would have to appear separately for the Joint Entrance Examination- Main and Advanced for admissions into these institutes.
