BITSAT 2024 Result- Tie-Breaking Rule

For all applicants participating in BITSAT 2024 and expressing interest in admission, it is mandatory to submit an admission application form along with their 12th-grade marks and preferences for different degree programs across Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad campuses. A merit list will be compiled by the authorities based on the candidates’ BITSAT 2024 scores. In instances where two or more candidates obtain identical scores in BITSAT 2024, a tie-breaking criteria will be applied. 

 

Firstly, candidates with higher scores in Mathematics/Biology will be prioritized for a higher rank. If a tie still persists, preference will be given to those with superior Physics scores. Should the tie continue, candidates with better Chemistry scores will be ranked higher. If the tie remains unresolved, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics (as applicable) in the Class 12th board examination will be considered to break the tie.

 

What after BITSAT Result 2024?

After the BITSAT Result 2024 is announced, there are several crucial steps and considerations for candidates:

  • Counseling Process: Candidates who qualify BITSAT are called for the counseling process. They must participate in counseling as per the schedule provided by BITS. During counseling, candidates select their preferred degree programs and campuses based on their BITSAT scores.

BITSAT Answer Key 2024

BITS Pilani does not provide an answer key or solutions for the BITSAT 2024 exam. After completing the exam, students can view their scores on the screen, which includes the total count of both correct and incorrect answers. BITSAT Merit List 2024

Candidates who achieve the minimum marks specified by the authorities in BITSAT 2024 and secure the required marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their 12th-grade examination will be eligible for consideration in the merit list for admission. Notably, there will be two separate merit lists created: one for all programs except B.Pharma and another exclusively for B.Pharma applicants. Additionally, BITSAT 2024 administers an admit list and a waitlist.

  • Admit List: The Admit List features the names of candidates meeting the minimum cutoff criteria. Candidates on the BITSAT Admit List are invited to participate in BITSAT 2024 Counseling. The Admit List is published before each Iteration Round, and those whose names appear must submit their admission application.
  • Wait List: Candidates on the WaitList for BITSAT 2024 must patiently await the subsequent iteration round to determine their selection status. The Wait List comprises the names of qualified candidates who may be called in case of seat vacancies. In situations where candidates withdraw from the admission process, priority is given to waitlisted candidates.
