The Consortium of National Law Universities commenced the CLAT online applications on July 1, 2023. The last date to complete the CLAT 2024 registration process is November 3, 2023. 

Candidates are advised to read and fulfil the CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2024 before filling out the CLAT exam form.

 

The CLAT 2024 exam is scheduled for December 3, 2023  and will be conducted in offline mode. The candidates who pass the entrance test will be eligible for admission to UG law courses offered by the 22 National Law Universities. These universities will accept candidates’ CLAT 2024 scores to offer admission to various LLB courses across India. Read on to learn more about the CLAT 2024 application process.

 

CLAT Registration 2024 – Highlights

 

  • Consortium of NLUs released notification for CLAT 2024 on their official website https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/
  • The Consortium of NLUs has started accepting CLAT Application Form from 1st of July 2023. 
  • The last date to submit CLAT 2024 Application Form is 3rd November 2023. 
  • Candidates need to submit CLAT registration form through online mode only. No offline applications will be entertained.
  • Fill all the asked details in the application form carefully as once they submit the form, no correction facility will be provided after 3rd November 2023.

Documents Required while filling CLAT 2024 Application Form

 

Candidates must upload a few documents on the official website while completing the CLAT 2024 application form. The list of the documents is given below: 

 

  • Passport size recent photograph of the candidate with a plain background. (in jpg/jpeg or PNG format) 
  • Signature of the candidate. (in jpg/jpeg or PNG format)
  • Category certificate if you are applying under SC/ST/OBC (certificate issued by a competent authority).
  • Category certificate if the candidate is applying for the PWD (certificate issued by a competent authority).

The candidate needs to fill in the following details while filling out the CLAT registration 2024 online:

Steps to fill CLAT 2024 Registration Form

 

Online Registration→ Fill up the Application Form → Upload Documents → Pay Fee → Submit

 

The candidates can fill out the  CLAT exam application form  with the help of the following steps:

Step 1 : Visit the official website of the Consortium of NLU at https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/

Step 2 : Click on the candidate’s CLAT Registration link in the notification bar.

Step 3 : Now, fill in the necessary details of the candidate, such as the mobile number and e-mail ID, to register on the website.

Step 4 : After submitting, an OTP will be generated on the candidate’s registered mobile no. for validation.

Step 5 : Now, the candidate will have to log in using the registered mobile no. or email address.

Step 6 : After login, the candidates must fill in all the necessary details on the page.

Step 7 : Now click on submit button (no further editing will be allowed after submitting the form).

Step 8 : Now, candidates should enter the preference order for all 22 NLUs as per their preference.

Step 9 : Next, upload all the required documents in the specified format and size.

Step 10 : Submit the form and pay the CLAT exam fee online using the Net banking/credit/debit card options.

Step 11 : After submitting the fees, the candidates must save the CLAT application form and take the printout for future reference.

CLAT 2024 Exam Centers list will be released soon before the commencement of the exam. The exam is scheduled on December 3, 2023. Every year a fresh list of exam centres is released by the exam authorities. How to Update CLAT 2024 Test Centres?

Candidates can follow the steps below to update their test centre preferences in the CLAT 2024 application form.

 

  1. Go to the official CLAT website
  2. Then, log in to the CLAT account.
  3. On the next window, click the ‘Edit Application button.
  4. Next, go to the ‘Preferences’ tab.
  5. Then, candidates can choose up to 3 test centres for CLAT 2024.
  6. Next, click the Next (>) button.
  7. Scroll down and accept the declaration.
  8. Finally, click the ‘Save Form’ button.

 

Note: Candidates can also take this opportunity to review and update their name, date of birth, and reservations if it needs any correction. Also, the Consortium will not entertain any request to change the test centre and other data after the last date.

CLAT Application Form 2024 Correction Fee

 

There is no information about the CLAT 2024 Correction window in the notification. Hence, students are advised to fill the application form very carefully. Please note that once the application is submitted and paid, the candidate cannot change the program, category, and BPL field.Updates to application form will not be entertained after the closure date.

 

In case you make a mistake you may have to cancel the application form and apply again.You could contact the relevant authorities, explaining why you want to cancel the registration. While refunds are generally not granted, you may have a chance if your reason is valid and compelling.

 

However, if your errors cannot be corrected, another option is to submit a new registration form. This could prompt the authorities to disregard your previous application and accept your latest one. It’s important to remember that multiple applications from the same candidate are typically not accepted according to the current policy.

 

What after CLAT Application Form 2024?

 

  • The window for submitting CLAT Application Form 2024 will close on 3rd November 2023. 
  • The CLAT Admit Card/Hall ticket can be downloaded by the candidate by logging into his/her account. The exact date on which the hall tickets will be made available will be intimated on the website. The CLAT exam is scheduled for 3rd December 2024 across various exam venues within India.
  • Candidates who qualify CLAT 2024 will be called for the counselling procedure. At the time of counselling, candidates must indicate their NLUs preference online where they want to take admission by centralized counselling procedure. The admission to UG and PG in CLAT counselling participating universities will be done on the merit-cum-preference. As per the preference filled by the candidates, the seat will be allocated to them.
