TS ECET 2024 – A Common Entrance Test designated in full as Engineering Common Entrance Test for Diploma and for B.Sc.(Mathematics) Degree Candidates in short as TS ECET [FDH & B.Sc. (Mathematics)] – 2024 will be conducted by Osmania University, Hyderabad on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education for lateral admission into 2nd year regular B.E/B.Tech Courses and  2nd year B. Pharmacy Course in both University and Private Un-aided Professional Institutions (Minority & Non-Minority ) approved by All India Council for Technical Education.for the academic year 2024-2025

TS ECET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should satisfy the following requirements to be eligible for appearing at the TS ECET [FDH & B.Sc.(Mathematics)] – 2024 for lateral entry admission through Common Entrance Test into 2nd year regular B.E./ B.Tech. courses approved by All India Council for Technical Education for both University and Un-aided Private Professional Institutions (Minority & Non- Minority) and for lateral entry admission through Common Entrance Test into 2nd year Regular B.Pharmacy Courses in both University and Private Unaided Professional Institutions (Minority & Non-Minority) approved by Pharmacy Council of India.
  • Nationality – They should be of Indian Nationality.
  • They should belong to the State of Telangana / Andhra Pradesh. The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended. The same is adapted to the State of Telangana vide G.O. Ms. No. 33 dated 31.12.2014.
  • They should have obtained a Diploma in Engineering and Technology/ Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education of Telangana State / Andhra Pradesh or any other Diploma recognized by the Government of Telangana / Andhra Pradesh as equivalent thereto for admission into the relevant B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Pharmacy courses as given in the Annexure. (OR)
  • They should have passed the 3-year B.Sc. Degree Examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the group combination from a recognized University in the Telangana / Andhra Pradesh state or its equivalent for entry into relevant courses as given in the Annexure.
  • NOTE: Candidates appearing for qualifying examination in the academic year 2023-2024 are also eligible. They have to submit the qualifying certificate with required percentage of marks at the time of admission.
  • Candidates who are pursuing a Diploma course under sandwich pattern shall be eligible for entry into the relevant B.E / B.Tech. / B.Pharmacy courses provided they have completed the practical training for the sandwich course before completion of counseling for Admissions.
  • Candidates should have passed Diploma in Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy or B.Sc. (Mathematics) Degree as the case may be with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) for entry into relevant courses. Candidates should have appeared and qualified at the TS ECET – 2024. Mere appearance at the Entrance Test does not automatically entitle a candidate to be considered for entry into any course unless the candidate satisfies the requirements of eligibility and other criteria laid down in the rules of admission. 
  • Admission to 85% of the seats in each course shall be reserved for the local candidates and the remaining 15% of the seats shall be un-reserved seats as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended. The same is adapted to the State of Telangana vide G.O. Ms. No. 33 dated 31.12.2014.

Qualifying marks in TS ECET [FDH & B.Sc. (Mathematics)]-2024.

  • The qualifying percentage marks for obtaining a rank in TS ECET [FDH & B.Sc.(Mathematics)]- 2024 is 25% of the aggregate marks in the four subjects (three subjects for B.Sc. Mathematics) i.e., 50 marks out of a total of 200. However, in the case of SC/ST candidates, there shall be no minimum qualifying marks for ranking the candidates. The rank obtained with the benefit of relaxation of the minimum qualifying marks at the TS ECET [FDH & B.Sc.(Mathematics)]-2024 by any candidate claiming to belong to SC/ST category will be cancelled in case the claim is found to be invalid at the time of admission.

Evaluation and ranking at TS ECET [FDH & B.Sc.(Mathematics)]-2024:

  • (i) The student will be ranked (Integrated Merit Rank) based on the marks obtained by him/her in the TS ECET [FDH & B.Sc.(Mathematics)]-2024 Examination.
  • (ii) Every care will be taken to avoid errors in valuation, checking, scrutiny, tabulation and ranking. Hence, requests for re-totaling, revaluation or personal identification of anything related to Online Examination will in no case be entertained. Candidates will be ranked in the order of merit in TS ECET [FDH & B.Sc.(Mathematics)]-2024 separately in each branch of Engineering Course.
  • (iii) As per G.O. Ms. No. 58 dated: 12-05-2008, for admission into B.E. / B. Tech in Information Technology, first preference will be given to candidates who have obtained the diploma in Information Technology. Any seats still vacant shall be filled with candidates who have obtained their Diploma in any branch of Engineering / Technology on the basis of their integrated merit ranking obtained in TS ECET [FDH & B.Sc.(Mathematics)]-2024.
  • (iv) As per G.O. Ms. No. 58 dated: 12-05-2008, for admission into B.E./ B.Tech inComputer Science and Engineering, first preference will be given to candidates who have obtained the diploma in Computer Science & Engineering. Any seats still vacant shall be filled with candidates who have obtained their Diploma in any branch of Engineering / Technology on the basis of their integrated merit ranking obtained in TS ECET [FDH & B.Sc.(Mathematics)]-2024. The Integrated Merit Rank is based on the total marks obtained in TS ECET [FDH & B.Sc.(Mathematics)]-2024 by candidates with Diploma in any branch of Engineering/Technology

 

(a) Engineering:

  • In case of a tie in aggregate, the marks obtained in Engineering subject, and in case of further tie the marks obtained in the Mathematics subject and if the tie still continues, the marks obtained in physics subject will be taken into account to decide the relative ranking. In case of candidates getting equal marks in each of the four subjects, they will be bracketed for the purpose of awarding rank. Age of the candidate will be considered at the time of admission for resolving the tie, the older candidate being given preference.

(b) Pharmacy:

  • Candidates will be ranked on the basis of merit in TS ECET [FDH & B.Sc. Mathematics)]-2024. In case of tie the percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination will be taken into consideration. On further tie, age will be taken into consideration; the older candidate will be given priority at the time of admission.

(c) B.Sc.(Mathematics):

  • Candidates will be ranked based on the marks obtained in the entrance examinations. In case of a tie in aggregate, the marks obtained in Mathematics subject and in case of further tie the aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying examination shall be taken into account to resolve the tie at the time of admission. On further tie, age will be taken into consideration; the older candidate will be given priority at the time of admission

 

TS ECET 2024 Application Process

  • Candidates are required to apply Online mode only through the official website https://ecet.tsche.ac.in
  • Before filling the application form, candidates are required to go through the information contained in this booklet which gives the requirements for appearing at TS ECET 2024.

Important Instructions

  • Candidates who wish to apply for TS ECET – 2024 are requested to fill in the
  • particulars carefully in ONLINE mode only. The application filling procedure
  • consists of three steps.
  • Step 1: Application Fee Payment
  • Step 2: Fill up the Application Form
  • Step 3: Print your Filled in Registration Form
  • The required information should be collected from the relevant documents
  • as mentioned in User Guide
  • All the candidates should bring print out of their Hall Ticket to the Examination Hall at the time of Entrance Test.
  • The candidates should bring the printout of Registration Form to the Examination Hall with a latest passport size photograph affixed and duly signed by a Gazetted Officer/ Principal of the College where the candidate has studied.
  • Candidates have to select and appear for only one TS ECET – 2024 subject paper. Candidates are advised to select the appropriate TS ECET – 2024 subject paper based on their specialization in Diploma and their interest in taking Admission into a specific Degree course. The list of Diploma courses, List of Tests offered in TS ECET – 2024 and list of Degree courses to seek admission is given in “Instruction Booklet” 
  • Candidates are advised to visit the allotted Test Center one day before the date of Examination to avoid any inconvenience to reach Test Center in time on the day of Entrance Test
  • Candidates are required to report to the Test Center by 07.30AM for the morning session Examination. The candidates have to undergo the registration process at the Test Center which includes taking of photograph, capturing of finger print, thermal screening, sanitization etc
  • Candidates will not be allowed into the Examination hall after 09.00AM for morning session and will not be permitted to leave the examination hall before 12.00 Noon for morning session.
  • It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that he/she is answering the correct Question Paper of the branch for which he/she has applied. The candidate is required to verify his / her Hall Ticket Number, Name,
  • Branch, Photograph etc., displayed on the screen before commencement of the test on the day of Examination.
  • Candidates must handover the Online Application Form to the Invigilator in the Examination Hall on the day of Examination

  • Without Late Fee : 16th April 2024 (Tuesday)
  • With Late Fee of Rs. 500/- : 22th April 2024 (Monday)
  • With Late Fee of Rs. 1000/- : 28th April 2024 (Sunday)

  • Mode of Exam: Online mode (Computer Based Test-CBT)

  • Duration of Exam: 180 minutes (3 Hours)

  • Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions
  • Marking Scheme: +1 marks will be given for each correct answer. No marks will be deducted for the wrong response.

TS ECET 2024 Admit Card

  • The students can download the TS ECET 2024 Hall Ticket 2024 from the website www.tspgecet.org. Candidates can download their admit card by the registration ID and the test selected during the filling of the application form. Without an admit card, candidates are not allowed to enter the examination hall.
