SBTET announces Telangana Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (TS POLYCET) 2024 for Diploma Courses Admission 

 

TS POLYCET 2024 – State Board of Technical Education & Training (SBTET), Hyderabad will conduct POLYCET 2024 for admission to Diploma Courses in Engineering /Non-Engineering /Technology offered at Polytechnics/Institutions offered at Polytechnics/ Institutions (including Govt./Aided and Unaided Polytechnics/ Institutions and Polytechnics running in Private Engineering Colleges) in Telangana State, Agricultural Courses Offered by Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) , Horticultural Diploma courses offer by Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University (SKLTSHU), Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Courses offered by PV Narasimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University (PVNRTVU). What is POLYCET-2024 Entrance Test 

  • TS POLYCET-2024 Entrance Test is conducted for candidates who desire to take up admissions into:
  • Diploma level programs offered in Government, Government-Aided, Private Un-Aided Polytechnics, and Polytechnics run in existing Private Un-Aided Engineering Colleges in Telangana State.
  • Diploma Courses offered by Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) both University and affiliated polytechnics in the Telangana State.
  • Diploma Courses offered by Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Veterinary University (PVNRTVU) Telangana State.
  • Diploma Courses offered by Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University (SKLTSHU).

 

TS POLYCET 2024 Important Dates

  • Commencement of online registration for POLYCET-2024: 15-02-2024
  • Last date for online registration with fee i.e., Rs.250/- for SC & ST and Rs.500/- for others: 22-04-2024
  • Last date for fee payment, Completion of the application details with Late fee of Rs. 100/-: 24-04-2024
  • Last date for fee payment, Completion of the application details with Tatkal fee of Rs. 300/-: 26-04-2024
  • Date of conduct of POLYCET-2024: 17-05-2024
  • 6 Declaration of results. After 12 days of Exam

 

TS POLYCET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

For Polytechnic courses:

  • Candidate shall be an Indian National.
  • Candidates should belong to the State of Telangana /Andhra Pradesh as defined in G.O.(P).No. 646, Education (W) Dept., dated 10-07-1979 and in the subsequent amendments.
  • Candidates should have passed S.S.C. Examination conducted by State Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Secondary Education, A.P/TS. such as Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE), National Institute of Open School (NIOS), Telangana Open School Society (TOSS), A.P. Open School Society (APOSS), X class examination conducted by various State Boards of  Secondary Education in India with Mathematics as one of the subjects, and obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination.
  • Candidates belonging to NIOS/TOSS/APOSS/CBSE/ICSE/OTHER Examinations recognized as equivalent to SSC by Telangana State SHOULD HAVE PASSED ALL THE SUBJECTS including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, with minimum of 35% Marks in each subject
  • Candidates who appeared or are appearing for SSC or equivalent examination being held in March/April-2024, and whose results are yet to be declared can also appear for POLYCET-2024

 

 Age Limit:

  • There is no age limit 

 

For Agriculture Course of PJTSAU:

  • Candidate shall be an Indian National.
  • Candidates seeking admission should produce a certificate(s) from the Heads of Institution(s) that the candidate has studied for a minimum period of 4 years in schools located in Non-Municipal areas during their period of study from 1st class to 10th class (any four years). The relevant information must be filled in the proforma as prescribed in FORM-I and duly signed by the Head of the institution concerned.
  • If Form-I is not filled in/duly signed by the concerned Head of Institution or officer along with office seal, the claim of the candidates will be rejected.
  • The candidates who have higher education 10+2 or above are not eligible
  • As of now, the Diploma courses offered by the University are not equal to Intermediate or any other vocational courses offered by Board of Intermediate education, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
  • Candidates should belong to the State of Telangana /Andhra Pradesh as defined in G.O.(P).No. 646, Education (W) Dept., dated 10-07-1979 and in the subsequent amendments.
  • Candidates should have passed the SSC Examination conducted by the State Board of Secondary Education, T.S./A.P. or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Secondary Education, T.S./A.P. such as Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE), National Institute of Open School (NIOS), Telangana Open School Society(TOSS), A.P. Open School Society (APOSS), X Class Examination conducted by various State Boards of Secondary Education in India with Science as one of the subjects, and obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination.
  • Candidates belonging to NIOS/TOSS/APOSS/CBSE/ICSE/OTHER Examinations recognized as equivalent to S.S.C. by Telangana State SHOULD HAVE PASSED ALL THE SUBJECTS including Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry with minimum of 35% Marks in each subject.
  • In respect of the Diploma Courses offered by PJTSAU, the candidates for admission into Polytechnic Diploma Courses in the PJTSAU shall be required to have completed 15 years of age as on the year of admission with an upper age limit of 22 years

 

TS POLYCET 2024 Application Process

  • Eligible Candidates can apply online through the official website www.polycetts.nic.in 
  • State Board of Technical Education & Training, Hyderabad has made arrangement to file online applications at various AP-Online/ through the payment gateway. The detailed list of Coordinating centers is available on the website www.polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in order to file an application, the general candidates shall pay the examination fee of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) and for SC/ST candidates Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty only).
  • The detailed procedure of filling up the application form is available in the Instructions. Candidates are advised to read these instructions carefully before filling out the Application. A duly filled in application form is to be given to the Operator for filing Online at the nearest Coordinating Centre

 

Application Fee

  • For others candidates :- Rs 500/-
  • For SC/ST candidates :-  Rs 250/-
  • Mode of payment :- online through debit card/credit card & net banking

 

Important Instructions for Candidates

  • The Hall Ticket issued to you is an important document. Please preserve it carefully till the admissions.
  • Candidates shall arrive at the examination hall at least 1 hour before commencement of the examination. This will enable the candidate to familiarize himself/herself with the OMR response sheet.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall after 11:00 AM, once the examination has commenced.
  • Candidates are directed to carry the following to the examination hall (a). Good ballpoint pen (black), (b). Writing pad (c). HB Pencils (d).an Eraser (e). Sharpener. e) Candidates should not bring logbooks, tables, calculators, tabs, cell phones, communicable/programmable electronic gadgets, etc. into the examination hall.
  • Candidates must remain seated in their allotted seats till the completion of the examination. In no case, they will be allowed to leave the examination hall till 1:30 PM. Before leaving, the candidates must return the OMR response sheet to the invigilator g) Candidates are advised to go through the instructions given for marking answers and other entries on the OMR response sheet thoroughly.

 

Pattern and Syllabus 

  • The examination (POLYCET) will be of 2 Hrs 30 Minutes duration consisting of only one paper as per the syllabus in the subjects of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry & Biology of X Class (S.S.C.) Examination held in Academic Year 2023-2024 as prescribed by the Board of Secondary Education, Telangana State.
  • The POLYCET Examination will be conducted for 150 marks in Mathematics (60 marks) + Physics (30 Marks) + Chemistry (30 Marks) +Biology (30 Marks).
  • Two separate Ranks will be generated for MPC (120 Marks) and The MBiPC ranks
  • will be generated by scaling down the Maths marks to 30.
