SLIET SET 2024 – Online applications are invited for SLIET Entrance Examination (SET) – 2024 for admission to ICD, B.E. (Lateral Entry), M.Sc., M.Tech and Ph.D. Programmes offered by Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Punjab for the academic year 2024-25.

    • SET-1/SET-1A : 04.05.2024 (Saturday) from 11.00 to 13.00 Hours
    • SET-III, SET-VI, SET-VII : 04.05.2024 (Saturday) from 14.30 to 16.30 Hours
    • SET-V : 22.07.2024 (Monday) from 10.00 to 12.00 Hours

 

Eligibility Criteria

Three-Year ICD (Integrated Certificate Diploma) Program

  • For admission to the 3 Year ICD Programme, the candidates should have passed their 10th class (Pass in English, Mathematics and Science is compulsory) from a State Education Board/CBSE/ICSE/ National Open School or an equivalent examination recognized/approved by MHRD, Government of India. Those who are appearing in matriculation examination may also apply subject to produce the result at the time of admission.
  • For admission to Lateral Entry ICD (2nd year) in addition to 10th passed as above, must have passed full time 2 years ITI course/Certificate/10+2 (vocational) in relevant trade with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) from Govt./Semi Govt Institute along with 2 years industrial experience from Govt./Semi Govt. and Private Industry of repute.

BE(4 Yrs) Program 

  • Admission to BE will be based on JEE (Main) 2024 and counselling through JoSAA /CSAB 2024.

B.E. (Lateral Entry)

  • All candidates who have passed Diploma courses in any discipline from SLIET or from any other polytechnic affiliated with any State Board of Technical Education and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) securing 55% marks or CGPA 5.5 on 10-point scale or equivalent (50% or CGPA 5.0 on a 10-point scale or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to reserved categories, SC/ST/OBC(Non Creamy Layer)/PH) are eligible.
  • Those who are appearing in the final examination may also apply.

M.Tech. Program

  • Passed a valid B. Tech / B.E / B.Sc (Engg) degree with at least 60% marks (55% for reserved categories) along with a valid GATE score.

M.Sc. Programs

  • The eligibility for admission to Master of Science (M.Sc.) Programmes will be 55% marks in aggregate (50% in case of candidates belonging to reserved categories, SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/PH) in B.Sc. Programme.

Ph.D. Program

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / Science / Humanities / Management with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) in relevant disciplines.

  • Candidates shall log on to www.sliet.ac.in / http://www.slietexam.co.in/ and click proceeds for Admission and then registration.
  • Click on to NEW REGISTRATION and for already registered users, enter Login & Password.
  • Online Registration is a 5 Step process. All Steps of Online Registration Process should be completed before the closing date as per the entrance notification. Incomplete application form or with wrong or deliberately concealed information is liable to be rejected without any intimation.

For SET I & SET IA 

  • Mode of Exam: CBT- Computer Based Test
  • Exam Duration: 2 Hours
  • Type of Question: Objective type
  • Number of question: 100 question
  • Number of Marks: 100 Marks
  • Subject : Mathematics (25 questions), Physics (25 questions), Chemistry, and rest 25 questions from English, General Knowledge and Mental Aptitude.
  • Negative marking – There will be 25% negative marking for wrong answer.

 

For SET III 

  • Mode of Exam: CBT- Computer Based Test
  • Exam Duration: 2 Hours
  • Type of Question: Objective type
  • Number of question: 120 question
  • Number of Marks: 120 Marks
  • Subject : English, General Knowledge, Mental Aptitude, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Basics of Engineering (appropriate group)

 

For SET V 

  • Mode of Exam: Paper pen-based
  • Exam Duration: Two hours (120 minutes)
  • Type of Question: Objective type
  • Number of question: 100 questions
  • Number of Marks: 100 Marks
  • There shall not be any negative marking for wrong answers.

 

For SET VI & VII

  • Mode of Exam: CBT- Computer Based Test
  • Exam Duration: 2 Hours
  • Type of Question: Objective type
  • Number of question: 100 question
  • Number of Marks: 100 Marks
  • Negative marking – There will be 25% negative marking for wrong answer.
