PSSOU Pre B.Ed and D.El.Ed Entrance Exam 2024 – Pandit Sundarlal Sharma (Open) University, (PSSOU) Chhattisgarh, Bilaspur has released the notification for Pre B.Ed and D.El.Ed Entrance Exam 2024 for admission into Pre B.Ed and D.El.Ed courses for the academic session 2024-25.

Important Dates
- Last Date to apply: 20th June 2024
- Availability of Admit Card: 25th June 2024
- Pre B.Ed Exam Date: 14th July 2024 (10 : 12.15 am)
- DElEd Exam Date: 14th July 2024 (2 : 4.15 PM)
- Issuing model answer and raising claim objection date of :07th July 2024
- Last date for claim objection on model answer : 09th July 2024
- Examination Result Declaration (Provisional List) : 12th July 2024
- Claim Objection date on exam result : 12th to 15 July 2024
Eligibility Criteria
For B.Ed Program
- As per the NCTE norms, the following candidates will be eligible for admission to B.Ed. ODL –
- Candidates securing at least 50% marks in graduation/post-graduation examination will be eligible. (minimum 50% marks in science/social science/humanities and 55% marks in engineering with specialization in science and mathematics). Candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste/OBC/Disabled will be given relaxation of at least 5% marks and all female candidates will be given relaxation of at least 5% marks in graduation.
- Along with this, if the candidate is a serving teacher, then he/she must have completed any course in elementary education such as D.El.Ed./D.Ed./B.T.I./B.T.C./D.P.E. and should be working in a school of Chhattisgarh state. Or
- If the candidate is not a serving teacher, then he/she must have completed any teacher education course in a regular manner (face-to-face) recognized by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE).
- It is also mandatory that at the time of application for this program, the candidate should be working as a full-time teacher in a primary/pre-secondary/secondary/higher secondary school recognized by the Government of Chhattisgarh.
- Relaxation in marks and seat reservation for Scheduled Tribes/Scheduled Castes/OBCs/Disabled and other such classes and cadres in Chhattisgarh. Will be applicable as per the rules of the State Government Higher Education Department.
For D.El.Ed Program
- The following candidates will be eligible as per the standards of NCTE-
- Candidates who have secured at least 50% marks in Higher Secondary or its equivalent examination. In case of Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste/OBC/Disabled, candidates securing at least 45% marks will be eligible. And all female candidates must have at least 45% marks in 12th.
- Also, candidates who have at least 2 years of teaching experience in a primary/pre-secondary/secondary school recognized by the Government of Chhattisgarh (teaching experience must be complete on the date of admission of the candidate). Also, the candidate must be currently engaged in teaching. Admission will be denied if the experience is less than 2 years and no fee will be refunded.
- It is also mandatory that at the time of application for this program, the candidate should be working as a full-time teacher in a primary/pre-secondary/secondary school recognized by the Chhattisgarh Government.
- Relaxation in marks and seat reservation for Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste/OBC/Disabled and other such categories will be applicable as per the rules of Chhattisgarh State Government Higher Education Department.
Application Process
- The application form can be accessed through the official site of PSSOU Pre B.Ed & D.El.Ed. The Application Process will be done through Online Mode. Before applying for the PSSOU Pre B.Ed & D.El.Ed 2024
- The Application link has been activated on 25th March 2024 and the candidate can not apply after the specified date which is 20th June 2024.
Follow the steps given below to fill up the application form.
- First of all, Candidates have to go to the official website of Pandit Sundarlal Sharma (Open) University https://pssou.ac.in/
- Click on the ‘Apply Online’ link.
- Submit all the personal and Academic Details which are required.
- Candidate is required to fill his/her name, date of birth, contact number etc.
- After filling all the information, the application number of the candidates will be generated, after which the candidates can proceed to fill the payment.
- Printout of e-receipt should be taken after filling the payment
- The candidate must ensure that the personal details and documentation are complete and correct.
- If any reasons the details which you fill in are incorrect or incomplete then your application form will not be accepted by the Official Authority.

Selection Process
- Selection will be based on a written test and 10/12th merit.
Exam Pattern
- Exam Mode: This entrance examination is conducted through offline mode.
- Duration of Exam: The duration of the exam is 2 hours 15 minutes
- Medium: The question paper will be in English and Hindi Medium.
- Type of Question: There are multiple-choice questions in the test.
- Number of Questions: There will be a total of 100 questions in the question paper.
- Total Marks: The question paper will be of 100 marks in total.
- Marking Scheme: In this test, 1 mark is awarded for each answer given correctly.
- Negative Marking: Negative marks will not be given.
