Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination including International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB certificate / & D.P. awarded candidates are eligible only if they have cleared their IB exam with a total of 24 credits compulsory having passed 3 HL & 3 SL mandatorily in any stream from a recognized Board and should have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
  • Candidates of CBSE, ICSE, should mention in the online registration / e-admission form (if selected) 10+2 or equivalent aggregate marks of all the subjects for which the candidate has taken & appeared for (not best of four, five, six or seven). 
  • Candidates above 25 years of age are not eligible to apply.

Selection Process

  • Selection Process to B.Des. (Humanising Technology) Batch – 2024 is through NMIMS-DAT.
  • NMIMS-DAT (NMIMS – Design Aptitude Test) comprises of
    • Studio Test
    • Portfolio Review
    • Online Personal Interview
  • All steps should be attempted by the candidate in order to be considered for the merit list.

Part A

Part B Design Challenge

  • Problem Solving & Sketching of the concept

Requirement: Please carry below items for the Studio Test

  • Cartridge paper A3 size.
  • Pencil HB/2B, 4B/6B, erasers, sharpener, pencil colours, Sketch pens etc.

Note: Usage of scale is strictly prohibited in the studio test/ design challenge.

60 minutes (1hr.)

Personal Interview Candidates should carry any extracurricular activity/creatives, hobbies & accomplishment certificate/proofs if any available. The same will be reviewed and marks awarded for the same. 10-20 minutes

  • Alignment of Interest 
Portfolio Show your talent via; Sketching / Drawing / Photography

Minimum of 5 pages.

  • Page 1, 2 and 3 will be as per your choice, whereas Page 4 and 5 should include Product Sketching and Rapid Sketching
