NERIST Entrance Exam 2024 – NERIST Entrance Exam (NEE) 2024 is being conducted by the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology (NERIST), Nirjuli, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh for Base Module (Certificate Course), Degree Module Courses in Technology streams, and also Degree Module Course in Forestry. North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) is deemed to be a university that is autonomous and funded by MHRD, Govt. of India. It offers certificate courses at the 10+2 level, diploma courses post-10+2, and various degree programs including BTech, BSc (Forestry Stream), MTech, MBA, MSc, and PhD.

NERIST Entrance Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for NEE-I
Age Limit
- Maximum Age Limits as on 31st July 2024 are 19 years for the students of the general category(GE) (born on or after 01st August 2002), 22 years for OBC and female applicants (born on or after 1st August 2000), and 24 years for ST/SC/PD (born on or after 01st August 1998).
Academic Qualification
- Applicants must have Passed/Appeared in Class X / Matriculation / Secondary Exam or an equivalent exam with Science and Mathematics. They should have passed in all the subjects including Science and Mathematics separately.
Eligibility for NEE-II
Age Limit
- Maximum Age Limits as on 31st July 2024 are 23 years for the students of the general category (GE) (born on or after 01st August 1998), 26 years for OBC and female applicants (born on or after 1st August 1996), and 28 years for ST/SC/PD (born on or after 01st August 1994).
- Academic Qualifications for different schemes/modes of NEE-II
NEE-II (PCM)
- Applicants must have passed/appeared in 10+2/ Higher Secondary/Sr. Secondary with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
NEE-II (Vocational)
- Applicants must have passed/appeared 10+2(Vocational) / ITI / NERIST Certificate in any one of the branches /trades, viz., [Agricultural Engineering] Farm Equipment (FE) / Food Processing (FP); [Civil Engineering] Construction Technology i.e. Draftsmanship / Surveyor (CT); [Electronics and Communications Eng.] Electronics Technology or Electronics Maintenance (ET/EM); [Electrical Engineering] Electrical Technology or Electrical Maintenance (ET/EM); [Mechanical Engineering] Mechanical Craftsmanship (MC) / Automobile Technology (AT) and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (R&AC) are eligible.
NEE-II (PCB)
- Applicants must have passed/appeared in 10+2/Higher Secondary/Sr. Secondary with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB).
Eligibility for NEE-III
Age Limit
- Maximum Age Limits as on 31st July 2024 are 40 years for the students of the general category (GE) (born on or after 01st August 1982), 43 years for OBC and female applicants (born on or after 1st August 1979), and 45 years for ST/SC/PD (born on or after 01st August 1977).
Academic Qualifications
- Applicants must have passed/appeared the 3-year Diploma course from any Government recognized polytechnic /institution in the respective or allied discipline/ branch as per the Appendix-III given in this Information Brochure with a minimum of 60% marks considering aggregate marks of all the three years’ together/CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale or NERIST Diploma Module with a minimum of CGPA 6.0.
NERIST Entrance Exam 2024 Application Process
- Candidates must apply for NERIST Entrance Exam 2024 Online Only by logging into the website www.neeonline.ac.in OR www.nerist.ac.in
- Candidates can fill up the entire form in one session or enter one part of the information and save and complete the same at a later stage within the due dates of filling and submitting the form.
- Candidates are requested to carefully check all the data entered before the final submission of the form. Any error may lead to rejection of their application at any stage in time
- Be careful while filling up each of the fields or selecting an option from the drop-down menu such as reservation code etc.
- Read all instructions regarding filling up online forms, and relevant information is available on the University website.

Selection Procedure
- The NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) is conducted at three Levels viz., NEE-I, NEE-II, and NEE-III for admissions to Base Module, & Degree Module of Engineering & Technology branches of Technology stream; and to Degree Module of Forestry stream through NEE-II (PCB).
NERIST Entrance Exam Pattern 2024
- Type of Questions: Multiple-choice questions
- Negative Marking: 1/4th marks will be deducted for every wrong answer and there is no deduction of marks for unattempted questions.
NEE I (Paper Code 10)
- It is conducted in one paper of 150 marks of three hours duration. The NEE I question paper will consist of three sections.
- Candidates appearing in NEE-I are eligible for admission to the Base (Certificate) Module of Technology Stream.
Total Marks
- A – Physics = 35 Marks
- B – Chemistry = 35 Marks
- C – Mathematics = 80 Marks

- 35 questions of 1 – mark each
- 35 questions of 1-mark each

NEE-II (Paper Codes 20 – 29)
- NEE-II is conducted with a single question paper of 150 marks of three hours duration. The examination paper consists of either three or four sections.

- For NERIST Entrance Exam (NEE) 2024, a candidate is issued the admit cards in online mode, only on its official website nerist.ac.in.
