MHT CET 2021 – Government of Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell will be releasing the online application for the MHT CET 2021 for admission to Undergraduate Professional Courses in Engineering/ Pharmacy for Academic year 2021-22.

Eligibility Criteria for admission to Engineering/Technology, Pharmacy, Pharm D Courses 2021

The following types of candidates of Maharashtra State Candidature are eligible to appear in the exam

Type

Eligibility Criteria

Type A

1. Candidates passing SSC and HSC or Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor of Science Examination from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State
2. Candidate who is either Domicile of Maharashtra and/ or is born in Maharashtra

Type B

A Candidate who does not fall in Type-A above, but who or whose Father or Mother is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possess Domicile Certificate.  

Type C

A Candidate who does not fall in either Type-A or Type-B but whose Father or Mother is an employee of the Government of India or Government of India Undertaking and who has been posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra State before the last date for submission of Application Form for CAP.

Type D

A Candidate who does not fall in any of the above Type-A, Type B and Type-C but whose Father or Mother is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.

Type E

Candidates passing SSC and/or HSC Examination from a recognised institution located in the disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi

Educational Qualification:

 NRI/ OCI/ PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National 

Engineering/ Technology

(i) The Candidate should be an Indian National;

(i) The Candidate should be an Indian National

 

(ii)Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together; and Obtained score in MHT-CET 2021.
Or
(ii) Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only);
Or
(ii) Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognised University as defined by UGC. and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability
candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject.

(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and Obtained score in JEE(Main) B.E./B.Tech or MHT-CET 2021
Or
(ii) Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only); 
Or
(ii) Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognised University as defined by University Grants Commission and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed XII standard With Mathematics as a subject;

 

Pharmacy

(i) The candidate should be an Indian National;


(i) The candidate should be an Indian National.

(i) The candidate should have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or
Biology, and obtained at least 50 % marks in the above subjects taken together;

(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the
above subjects taken together;

(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together;

(ii) Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.

(iii) should have appeared in all the subjects and should obtain non zero score in the CET conducted by the Competent Authority.

(iii) should obtain a non zero positive score in NEET or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain a non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority. However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining a non zero positive score in NEET over the candidates who obtained non zero score in CET.

 

Pharm D.

(i) The candidate should be an Indian National ;

(i) The candidate should be an Indian National

 

(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with subjects Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class
categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together ;
 Or
(ii) Passed Diploma Course in Pharmacy from institutes affiliated to State Board and having approval of competent central authority and State Government and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) 

(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with subjects Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the
above subjects taken together
 Or
(ii) Passed Diploma Course in Pharmacy from institutes affiliated to State Board and having approval of competent central authority and State Government and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State)

 

(iii) The candidate should have appeared in all the subjects and obtained non zero score in the CET conducted by the Competent Authority.

(iii) The candidate should have obtained non zero positive score in the NEET or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score in CET; However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtain non zero positive score in NEET over the candidates who obtained non zero score in CET.

 

B. Planning

(i) The candidate should be an Indian National;




(i) The candidate should be an Indian National

(i) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with subjects Physics and Mathematics as
compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Engineering Drawing or Computer Science or Biology or Technical Vocational Subject and obtained at least 50 % marks in the above subjects taken together.

 

(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with subjects Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Engineering Drawing or Computer Science or Biology or Technical Vocational subject and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together;

(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with subjects Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Engineering Drawing or Computer Science or Biology or Technical Vocational subject and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together.

(ii) Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.

 

(iii) The candidate should have appeared in all the subjects and obtained non zero score in the CET conducted by the Competent Authority.

(iii) The candidate should have obtained a non zero positive score in JEE Main Paper II or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should have obtained a non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority. However preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in JEE (Main) Paper II over the candidates who have obtained non zero score in CET.

 

MHT CET 2021 Application Process

  • MH CET 2021 Application Form will be made available in online mode from 2nd week of February 2021 till 4th week of March 2021.
  • The complete application process will consist of various steps – Registration, filling of application form, uploading of images & documents and paying the application fee.

For General Category candidates from Maharashtra state, outside Maharashtra state , J&K Migrant candidates

For candidates of backward class categories SC,ST,VJ/DT-NT (A), NT (B), NT (C), NT (D), OBC,SBC,SEBC and EWS and person with disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only

MHT CET 2021 Syllabus

  • As per the official MHT CET syllabus 2021, the question paper will set as per the reduced syllabus of class 11-12 syllabus of the Maharashtra state board.
  • Approximately 20% weightage will be given to Std.11th curriculum and 80% weightage will be given to Std. 12th curriculum
  • There will be no negative marking, however the difficulty level of the paper will be at par with JEE Main for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and for Biology the difficulty level will be at par with NEET.
