Maharashtra MAH CET 2019 for Agriculture Courses – The Commissioner of State CET Cell has been designated as Competent Authority for conducting MHT-CET 2019 and selection of candidates for admission to First Year of 4 Year Duration Full Time Undergraduate Professional Degree Courses in Agriculture Universities for the academic year 2019-20.

MHTCET 2019-20 for Agricultural Courses Important Dates

  • Online Registration & Confirmation of Application Form on Website: 01st Jan 2019 to 23rd March 2019 (11:59 pm)
  • Online Registration & Confirmation of Application Form on website (with additional Late Fee of Rs.500/- for all categories): 24th March 2019 to 31st March 2019
  • Payment – Both Online and Bank Challan: 03rd April 2019
  • Issue of Admit Card (through candidate login): 25th April 2019 to 02nd May 2019

Eligibility Criteria for MHT-CET 2019-20 for Agricultural Courses

  • Eligibility for First Year Professional Degree Courses in Agriculture Universities: All the candidates passed/appearing at the qualifying examination i.e. HSC/12th Standard exam or its equivalent examination and having Indian Nationality are eligible for appearing for MHT-CET 2019.
  • There is no age limit for admission and appearing for MHT-CET 2019.

 

Candidature Type

  • Maharashtra State Candidature: Candidates having Domicile of Maharashtra State/School Leaving Certificate containing place of birth from Maharashtra / birth Certificate issued by the competent authority from Maharashtra are eligible.
  • Other State Candidature: The Candidates having Domicile Certificate / Residential Certificate / Residence and date of birth Certificate issued from the competent authority other than Maharashtra state are eligible.
  • Minority Candidature: The Candidate belonging to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority Community from State of Maharashtra and as notified by the Government are eligible.

 

Jammu & Kashmir Migrant Candidature (only for constituent/aided Colleges):

  • a) The children of citizens, who are displaced from Jammu and Kashmir to any part of India or from unsafe border area of Jammu & Kashmir to a relatively safer place in Jammu & Kashmir from 1990 onwards due to terrorist activities; or
  • b) The children of staff and officers of Jammu & Kashmir police engaged in combating terrorism are eligible under this category;
  • (5) Children of NRI, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National – These types of Candidature Candidates are exempted from appearing for MHT-CET 2019.

 

Note:

  • It is mandatory to appear for MHT-CET 2019 for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Other State Candidature, Minority Candidate seeking admission to undergraduate courses in agriculture universities.
  • But other common entrance tests such as JEE/NEET/AIEEA-UG (ICAR, New Delhi conducted All India Entrance Exam Test for Admission) will also be considered equivalent to MHT-CET for admission.

Eligibility for Professional Educational Courses

  • First year of 4-year Integrated Program leading to B.Sc. (Honours) Agriculture: XII Std. (Science) passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Exam, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Inter Agriculture (with Physics, Chemistry) and English; and
  • Obtained score in Common Entrance Test (PCB / PCM) of the respective year conducted by the competent authority.
  • The candidate who have passed qualifying examination without Biology / Mathematics shall have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective university.
  • First year of 4-year Integrated Program leading to B.Sc. (Honours) Horticulture: XII Std. (Science) passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Exam, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Inter Agriculture (with Physics, Chemistry) and English and;
  • Obtained score in Common Entrance Test (PCB / PCM) of the respective year conducted by the competent authority.
  • The candidate who have passed qualifying examination without Biology / Mathematics shall have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective university.
  • First year of 4-year Integrated Program leading to B.Tech. (Agriculture Engineering): XII Std. (Science) passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination, with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and

  • Obtained score in Common Entrance Test (PCM) of the respective year conducted by the competent authority.
  • The candidate who have passed qualifying examination without Biology shall have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective university.
  • First year of 4-years Integrated Program leading to B. F. Sc. Degree Course: XII Std. (Science) passed in 10 + 2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics or Inter Agriculture (with Physics, Chemistry) and English and
  • Obtained score in Common Entrance Test (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) of the respective year conducted by the competent authority.
  • The candidate who has passed qualifying examination without Mathematics shall have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective university.

 

Note

  • The Candidate should be an Indian National
  • The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination / (XII Std.-Science) securing not less than 50% marks for General category (Open) and 40% marks in aggregate for reserved categories (SC/ST/VJa/NTb /NTc /NTd / OBC / SBC / SEBC).

 

MHT-CET 2019-20 for Agricultural Courses Application Process

  • Application Form for MHT-CET 2019 will be filled through Online Mode (CBT-Computer Based Test) only. The information brochure for MHT-CET 2019 and the user manual for filling up the online application form is available on web site mhtcet2019.mahaonline.gov.in
  • Candidate is advised to download and print the user manual for filling up the online application form. For submission of online application form the candidates should login at mhtcet2019.mahaonline.gov.in in website.
  • The detailed procedure for online submission of application form is given in the user manual. Please quote your Application no. in all future correspondence with State CET Cell Office.
  • The Online Application Submission is four step process:
    1. Registration – Creation of Username and Password
    2. My Application – Filling up Application Form for MHT-CET 2019
    3. Upload of Photograph and Signature – Candidate must upload their recent Photograph and Signature in Online system
    4. Payment of Fees – Candidate can make payment of Fees using Online Payment mode or Offline (i.e Bank Challan Payment)
  • Candidate MUST review their Form details before payment of Fees; the details will not be available for edit once payment is made.

 

MHT-CET 2019 Application Fee Payment

  • Application form processing fees as stated in the table given below is to be paid through either online mode or using challan system for which the service charges, as per rules, shall be applicable in addition to the application form processing fees.
  • This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.
  • For General Category Candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J & K Migrant candidates – Rs.800/-
  • For Candidates of Backward Class Categories [SC, ST, VJ/DT- NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC, SEBC] and Persons with Disability Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only – Rs.600/-

Admit Card

  • For downloading Admit Card, Candidate should visit the website mhtcet2019.mahaonline.gov.in
  • The candidate can download his/her admit card for MHT-CET 2019 from his/her Login ID from 25th April 2019 to 02nd May 2019
  • Issue of Admit Card is merely an enabling document for appearing at the MHT-CET 2019 and does not imply that the candidate satisfies all the requirements of eligibility conditions of admission.
  • Please note that Ration Card and Learning Driving License are not valid ID proof for MHT CET 2019 and hence will not be entertained.

 

Scheme of Examination

  • The examination will be conducted at various centers across the Maharashtra by Online mode (Computer Based Test) tentatively from 02nd May 2019 to 13th May 2019.

Syllabus, Weightage & Pattern of Exam

  • Syllabi of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology for the MHT – CET 2019, is declared by Director, Technical Education, Mumbai vide Letter No. 2-A/ADM/2016/1412 Dated 06.11.2018 and is as follows:
  • The questions will be based on Syllabus of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
  • Approximately 20% weightage will be given to Std. XI curriculum and 80% weightage will be given to Std. XII curriculum while setting the question paper.
  • There will be no Negative Marking, however difficulty level will be at par with the JEE (Main) for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and difficulty level for Biology will be at par with NEET. The questions will be mainly application based.
  • MHT CET will consist of 3 question papers of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and each paper will be of 100 marks.

 

Language of Question Paper

  • The medium for examination shall be English or Marathi or Urdu for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. However, Mathematics paper shall be in English only. The option once exercised about the medium by the candidate shall be irrevocable.

 

Examination Center

  • The MHT-CET 2019 will be conducted by online mode (CBT-Computer Based Test) at all the district headquarters in the State of Maharashtra.
  • The eligible candidates passing qualifying exam can select the exam center of their choice while filling the online application form.
