KARTET 2024 – Education Department of Karnataka has released the notification for Karnataka Teachers Eligibility Test (KARTET) 2024 and invites applications for the eligible candidates aspiring to be teachers for primary and upper primary School across the state of Karnataka.

Important Dates
- Candidates can apply for the KARTET 2024 Online from till 15th April 2024
- Last date to submit the online application is 15th May 2024
- Last date for the payment of application fees is 16th May 2024
- KARTET Exam is scheduled to be held on 30th June 2024
Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
- Candidate must be a citizen of India
- Candidate must satisfy the local/non-local status requirement as per mentioned by the authority
Lower Primary Level (Class I-V)
- Applicants must have successfully completed Senior Sec./10+2 with at least 45% marks or appear in the final year of 4-year B.Ed./ 2-year diploma in education (D.El.Ed) / 2-year diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Must have successfully completed graduation BA/B.Sc with at least 50% marks and those who have successfully completed B.ED can also apply
Upper Primary Level (Class VI-VIII)
- Applicants must have successfully cleared Graduation BA/B.Sc with at least 50% marks and must have completed B.Ed from some recognized University.
- OR those who are appearing in the final 4-year B.El.Ed/BA (Ed.)/ B.Ed B.Sc. (Ed.), (SP) with 50% marks in BA/ B.Sc may apply for Karnataka TET

Application Process

- Fee once remitted shall not be refunded or adjusted in future tests under any circumstances

KARTET 2024 Exam Pattern
- Karnataka TET 2024 will take place in the online mode.
- Duration – 2 hr 30 min (For Each Paper)
- The paper will have only objective type questions.
- There will be 150 questions in the paper that a candidate will solve.
- Candidate will get 1 mark for every correct answer. There will be no negative marking.
Structure of Paper-I
- Child Development and Pedagogy will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
- Language I will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
- Language II (English) will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
- Mathematics will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
- Environmental Studies will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
Structure of Paper-II
- Child Development and Pedagogy will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
- Language I will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
- Language II (English) will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
- Mathematics and Science OR Social Studies will have 60 questions for 60 marks
Note:
- There is no negative marking in Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) 2024 and Each Question consist of 1 Mark
- The Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) 2024 to be conducted in English, Kannada, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Marathi Medium, the duration of exam is 2 hours 30 minutes, A Student to Score 60% of Marks (General Category) and 55% of Marks (Reserved Category) to get eligible in Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) 2024
