HTET 2023 – The Board of Secondary Education (BSEH), Haryana has issued a notification nd invites application form the eligible candidates for Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) for the Recruitment to the post of Post Graduate Teacher, Trained Graduate Teacher and Primary Teacher in various govt. schools across the state. About HTET 2023

  • Name of Test: Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET)
  • Conducting Authority: Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH)
  • HTET 2023 Level: HTET-2023 conducts this test in the following 3 levels:
  • Level / Paper I: Who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V (Primary Teachers)
  • Level / Paper II: Who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII (TGT-Trained Graduate Teacher)
  • Level / Paper III: Who intends to be a PGT (Post Graduate Teacher)
  • Languages: English, Hindi, Punjabi, Sanskrit & Urdu

 

Important Dates

Candidates desirous of applying must keep in mind the important dates for the HTET 2023 which are given below-

 

  • Date of issue of notification: 30 October 2023
  • Starting Date of Application Process: 30 October 2023
  • Last Date of Application: 10 November 2023
  • Date of Examination: 02nd and 03rd December 2023
  • Admit Card Date: 24 November 2023

 

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must ensure that prerequisites specific eligibility criteria is fulfilled in order to be eligible for the exam:-

  • All individuals who possess minimum educational qualifications etc. as delineated in the service rules relating to the teachers of all the three levels (available on the website of the School Education Dept. Haryana and also in these guidelines are eligible to take the test HTET which will be conducted for the following three levels:
    • who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V (Primary Teacher) and fulfills the minimum qualification
    • who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII (TGT-Trained Graduate Teacher) and fulfills the minimum qualification
    • who intends to be a PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) and fulfills the minimum qualification

Minimum Educational Qualification

For Teachers of Classes I-V (Paper I)

  • Passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with 45% marks with 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4 year B.El.Ed /2 year Diploma in Education in Special Education are also eligible (or);
  • Bachelor Degree (50 % marks) and B.Ed qualification can also apply; or Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two years Diploma in Elementary Education

For Teachers of Classes VI-VIII (Paper II)

  • Candidates for this category should have Bachelor Degree (B.Sc./B.A./B.Com etc.) candidates with 2 year D.Ed./ B.Ed (OR) 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) / 4-year BA/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A. (Ed.)/B.Sc. (Ed.) / B. Ed (Special Education) with 50% in BA or B.Sc. both Appearing & passed candidates are eligible

For Lecturers of Class XI-XII

  • Candidates for this category should possess the Post Graduate (PG) Degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks from a recognized university. Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary/Graduation/Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the Subjects
  • 83 marks for SC/ PwD candidates and 90 marks for all other including other State candidates

Age Limit 

  • Candidates from the age of 18 to 38 years can apply for the HTET 2023 exam. Eligible candidates need to meet all the eligibility criteria to fill out the online application form successfully

 

Application Process

The HTET 2023 Application form has already been released.All candidates have to follow the registration process for the HTET Exam

  • Please read the Information Bulletin of HTET-2023 carefully before starting filling the online application form.
  • Candidates can apply for HTET-2023 ‘Online’ through HTET website www.htet2023.in w.e.f. 30th October 2023 to 10th November 2023 at 12.00 pm
  • Eligible candidates who fulfill eligibility criteria can apply for HTET 2023 through online mode from 30th October 2023 through website www.hteonline.com / www.htet.nic.in
  • Carefully go through the Information Bulletin “Guidelines/Instructions-Scheme of Exam” available on the website of the board www.htet.nic.in
  • Submitting Aadhar Card Number is desirable while applying for Online Application
  • Proceed for remittance of examination fee through e-challan as per instructions given on the aforesaid website of the Board

HTET Exam Pattern

Candidates can check the Exam Pattern for HTET 2023 below – 

  • The Examination will be conducted in Conventional Type (Pen-Paper Based).
  • All questions except those concerning language subjects, will be bilingual i.e. Hindi and English.
  • All Questions In HTET Will Be Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Each Carrying One Mark, With Four Alternatives Out Of Which One Answer Will Be Correct.

Level – I – For becoming Teacher for Classes I-V : Primary Teacher

  • There shall be only one paper.
  • All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) each carrying one mark with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct.
  • No. of MCQs – 150;
  • Duration of examination: Two-and-a-half hours.
  • Child Development and Pedagogy 30 MCQs – 30 Marks
  • Languages 30 MCQs – 30 Marks
    • (Hindi 15 MCQs & English 15 MCQs)
  • General Studies 30 MCQs – 30 Marks
    • (Quantitative Aptitude 10 MCQs, Reasoning Ability 10 MCQs and Haryana G.K. and Awareness 10 MCQs)
  • Mathematics 30 MCQs – 30 Marks
  • Environmental Studies 30 MCQs – 30 Marks

Level – II – For becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII: Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)

  • There shall be only one paper. All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) each carrying one mark with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct.
  • No. of MCQs – 150;
  • Duration of examination: Two-and-a-half hours.
  • Child Development and Pedagogy 30 MCQs – 30 Marks
  • Languages 30 MCQs – 30 Marks
    • (Hindi 15 MCQs & English 15 MCQs)
  • General Studies 30 MCQs – 30 Marks

HTET Admit Card 2023

  • Admit Cards will not be sent by Post
  • Admit card will be available on the Board’s website; every eligible candidate may download his/her admit card from the website www.htet.nic.in with effect onwards and appear in the exam at the allotted exam centre
