How to Check CDS Result 2024?

UPSC releases the Combined Defence Services (CDS) exam merit list online through its official website. Candidates who want to download the merit list PDF from the official website can follow the steps given below:

 

1st Step: Go to the official website of UPSC, i.e., upsc.gov.in.

2nd Step: Click on the tab ‘Examination’.

3rd Step: Then click on ‘Active Examinations’ from the drop-down menu.

4th Step: Click on the ‘Combined Defence Services Examination 2024’ link.

5th Step: Scroll down and click on the PDF link provided to download the name list and CDS Result 2024.

6th Step: A PDF with the roll numbers of selected candidates will appear on the screen. Press ‘Ctrl + F’ and search for the roll number. If it is on the list, they qualify for the written exam.

7th Step: Download the CDS merit list and save it for future reference.

 

What After CDS Result 2024?

Once passing the CDS Exam, the candidates have a plethora of opportunities in the Indian Armed Forces. They will undergo cadet training in the Army, Air Force and Navy, following which they will be commissioned as officers in any of the three branches of the armed forces.

 

UPSC CDS Result 2024 Scorecard

CDS Marksheet 2024 – The CDS Scorecard 2024 will be released within 15 days after the release of the final result. Candidates must enter their ‘Roll Number’ and ‘Date of Birth’ to check the marks. The scorecard will include the candidate’s roll number, date of birth, name, total marks obtained in the written exam and SSB Interview, final total marks, etc. The scorecard / marksheet will also be provided to the candidates who will not get selected after the SSB interview.

 

CDS Result 2024: Score Calculation Process

The UPSC calculates the CDS score using the procedure outlined below:

 

  • Candidates will receive one mark for each right answer.
  • 1/3 marks will be deducted as a negative marking for each incorrect response.
  • If a candidate selects more than one option, it will be considered a wrong response, and negative marks will be assigned.
  • The total CDS score will be calculated based on candidates’ correct and incorrect responses.
