Eligibility Criteria
- B. Tech. in Civil Engineering : Applicants must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics of at least 100 marks each in 10+2 level and have secured at least 50 % overall in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and must have passed each subject individually and have to secured 60% aggregate in 10+2 level.
- Lateral Entry to the 2nd Year of B.Tech Programme in Civil Engineering : Applicants must have passed Diploma in respective/allied programmes and have secured at least 60 % marks in aggregate.
- M. Tech. in Civil Engineering : Applicants must have passed B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering/Construction Engineering with minimum 6.5 CGPA or 60% in aggregate.
- B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering : Applicants must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics of at least 100 marks each in 10+2 level and have secured at least 50 % overall in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and must have passed each subject individually and have to secured 60% aggregate in 10+2 level.
- Lateral Entry to the 2nd Year of B.Tech Programmes in Mechanical Engineering : Applicants must have passed Diploma in respective/allied programmes and have secured at least 60 % marks in aggregate.
Age Limit (As on 1st July, 2024)
- Upper age limit for undergraduate programmes is 22 years except for the following

- B.A. Honours in Islamic Theology and B.A. Honours in Islamic Studies, Lateral entry into 2” Year of B.Tech. Programmes-25 Years.
- ‘No upper age limit for B.Sc. in Nursing programme (Minimum age limit of 17 Years as on 31st December, 2024)
- Upper age limit for Postgraduate programmes is 25 years except for the following

- Mtech. programmes-27 years
- M.A. in Islamic Theology, Islamic Studies and B.Ed. programme-30 years
- M.A. in Education-32 years
- No upper age limit for LLM. programme
- Though the upper age limit is mentioned above, all the applicants applying for Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes who have passed qualifying examination before 2022 are not eligible to take admission in the year 2024 except for LL.M. and Nursing programme.

Application Process
- All candidates willing to take admission in Aliah University must apply through online mode of application only. Link and detailed instruction will be given on the Aliah University website (www.aliah.ac.in) on the scheduled date.
- Candidates are advised to follow the Application Guidelines and Information Brochure thoroughly before applying online.
- After submitting the online application successfully, a confirmation sheet/application submission form, bearing the full application summary with the photo & signature of the candidate, will be generated by the system. Application is not complete until the confirmation sheet/application submission form is generated,
- Candidates have to download and print the confirmation sheet/application submission form and should preserve the same carefully.

Selection Process
- The admissions to all the courses offered by the university are based on the AUAT 2024.
- Selection and admission procedure of the candidates in Aliah University is based on four stages: Ranking, E-Counselling, Allotment and Admission.
AUAT 2024 Exam Pattern
- Question paper of AUAT-2024 will be of 100 marks and examination duration will be of 2 Hours.
- Part-I (70 Marks): Question will be from respective subject.
- Part-ll (30 Marks): Question will be on General Knowledge, General English and Islamic History & culture (in the ratio of approximately 1:1:4)
- Question paper will consist of objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs). (Except for B.A. (Hons.)/M.A. in Bengali, English, Arabic, and M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications). For B.A. (Hons.)/M.A. in Bengali, English, and Arabic, and M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication, 56 marks will be from relevant subjects and that will be objective type MCQ and rest 14 marks will be from relevant subjects that will be the descriptive type.
- Questions in all papers are to be answered on a specially designed machine gradable sheet (ORS-Optical Response Sheet) using black/blue ball point pen only.
AUAT 2024 Syllabus
For Core Subjects
- All B.Tech. and BCA will comprise Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as per syllabi of classes XI & XIl of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) and Equivalent.
- Lateral entry to the 2” Year of B.Tech. Programmes will comprise of Engineering Mathematics, Basic Computer Science, Strength of Material, Engineering Mechanics, Environmental Engineering, Basic Electrical Technology and Basic Electronics Engineering.
- Integrated MBA (BBA – MBA) programme will be on basics of Mathematics, verbal and non-verbal reasoning, Commercial Arithmeticand elementary knowledge in the concerned area.
- All UG programmes (except Arabic, Urdu, Islamic Theology and Islamic studies) will be comprised of concerned subjects as per syllabi of classes XI & XII of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) and Equivalent.
- Nursing Programme will comprise of Biology, Chemistry & Physics as per syllabus of JENPARH/JENPAUH, West Bengal.
- Honoursin Arabic and Urdu comprise as per Arabic and Urdu syllabus of H.S. or equivalent examination.
- B.A. Hons. in Islamic Theology and Islamic Studies comprise as per syllabi of Fazil according to West Bengal Board of Madrasah Education (WBBME).
- BSc.(Hons.) in Statistics as per syllabus of classes XI & XIl of Mathematics of H.S. of WBCHSE
- Masters programmes excluding MJMC & MCA will be on the concerned subject.
- MJMC will be on English, Concept of Language and Literature, Fundamentals of Journalism and Mass Communication having its role as fourth pillar of Indian Democracy, Sports and Cinema.
- The MCA programme will be comprised of Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation, Problem Solving Questions, Discrete Quantitative Analysis and Basic Mathematics.
- For LL.M. Programme -based on LL.B. programme of recognized University.
- For B.Ed, Programme syllabus will be comprised of Reasoning, Teaching aptitude, General Knowledge, and Current Affairs.
For General English, General Knowledge, Islamic History & Culture
- General English : Basis Knowledge of vocabularies, grammar and comprehension of 10+2 level.
- General Knowledge : This will be comprised of History (Medieval and Modern India), Geography, Political Science, General Science and Current Affairs.
- Islamic History & Culture : This will be based on 10+2 level.
