What work did the ‘office boy’ do in the Gemini Studios? Why did he join the studios? Why was he disappointed?
Answer –
The ‘office boy’ had the duty of doing make up on huge crowds of people, on days of crowd shoot. He would mix the pancake in a big vessel and slap it on the faces of players (crowd of actors). He joined Gemini Studios with a dream of becoming a first-rate actor, screen-writer, director or lyricist. However, he remained just an office boy. This disappointed him. He remarked that the studio was fit for barbers and perverts.
He developed a bitterness towards Kothamangalam Subbu who was popular and was considered number 2 at Gemini Studio.
