Character Sketch of Arjuna
The great Pandava warrior Arjuna was feared by the enemy Kauravas. He is fearless as he takes on the enemy single-handedly. He is distracted by the enemy who aim to kill the Pandava leader – Yuddhishtira by involving him in a fight against Susharma’s sons. After his son’s killing, Arjuna vows to avenge it by killing Jayadratha or ending his own life. He fulfills his vow by beheading Jayadratha.

Character Sketch of Yudhishtira
The Pandava king, on the 13th day of the battle, the enemy aims to capture Yuddhishtira and win the battle. Yuddhishtira does not know the art of piercing through a Chakravyuh and seeks the help of his nephew Abhimanyu. He sends a few warriors to help him too.

Character Sketch of Duryodhana
The leader of the Kauravas, he is full of deceit. He disobeys the rules of war when so many warriors of the Kauravas trap one single warrior of the Pandavas, Abhimanyu in the Chakravyuh and kill him. He gets excited at the news of Arjuna’s vow and plans to save Jaydratha’s life which would lead to Arjuna’s suicide and the subsequent victory of Kauravas.

Character Sketch of Abhimanyu
He is a fearless, young warrior of the Pandavas. The son of Arjuna, he takes up the responsibility of protecting his uncle – Yuddhishtira. In the absence of his father, Arjuna, Abhimanyu, who knows the art of entering a chakravyuh but not the way out; agrees to break the trap made by the Kauravas. On being trapped in the Chakravyuh, he fights a brave battle till his last breath.

Character Sketch of Jayadratha

Character Sketch of Krishna
Krishna, the charioteer of Arjuna accompanies him in the battle. He is grief-stricken at the death of Abhimanyu. He assists Arjuna to fulfil his vow of killing Jayadratha. As the sun is about to set, Krishna covers the sun with a thick mist so that no one can ascertain if it has set or not. So the conk is not sounded for the end of the day’s battle which gives Arjuna time to hunt Jayadratha.
