National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) Kochi announces Admission to 5 Year B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) Degree Course 2020-21

NUALS BA LLB Admission 2020 – National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) is inviting applications for admission to the 5 years B.A. & LL.B. (Hons.) Degree Course during the academic year 2020-21, against seats reserved for NRI Sponsored Category and Foreign Nationals – reg.

Candidates who are interested in seeking admission concerned Course may submit applications in the prescribed format only.

No. of Seats
  • The number of seats available for NRI Sponsored candidates is 6 (six). If sufficient candidates are not available under the NRI Sponsored quota, such vacant seats shall be filled from the All India General Category candidates in the order of CLAT merit.

Eligibility Criteria for NUALS BA LLB Admission 2020
  • Candidates under this category should have passed an exam recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, as equivalent to Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) under the Indian System, securing not less than 45 % of marks in the aggregate.
  • The candidate must have studied the English language as one of the compulsory subjects in 10+2 or equivalent Higher Secondary School Examination.
  • Candidates who are appearing/appeared in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply. However, they should submit the result of their qualifying examination within the stipulated time notified by the University.
  • Candidates who seek admission under the NRI Sponsored Quota in NUALS are exempted from CLAT 2020.

NUALS BA LLB Admission 2020 Application Process
  • Candidates who are appearing/appeared in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply but they should submit the result of their qualifying examination on or before 15th June 2020
  • The following documents should be enclosed with the filled-in Application Form uploaded in the University website
a) Copy of the statement of marks in the Qualifying Examination (i.e. an examination equivalent to 10+2) recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi;
b) Percentage Conversion Certificate from the School/Board, in case of Grades (if applicable);
c) Copy of the Birth Certificate of the candidate;
d) Copy of the Passport of the Sponsor;
e) Copy of the valid Residence Permit of the Sponsor;
f) Certificate from the Indian Embassy of the respective Country to prove the valid NRI status of the Sponsor;
g) Undertaking from the Sponsor for extending financial support to the candidate during the entire duration of the Course, stating the relationship with the candidate

Application Fee
  • Candidates need to pay an application fee of Rs. 5,000/- by way of Demand Draft drawn in favor of ‘the Registrar, the National University of Advanced Legal Studies’ payable at Kochi/Ernakulam.

Selection Procedure
  • The admission in the concerned course will be made strictly on the basis of merit in their 10+2 examination or an equivalent examination
  • Candidates should produce the original certificates at the time of admission, verification purposes.
