University of Calcutta announces Admission to LLM Program 2023-24 Session

University of Calcutta LLM Admission 2023 – University of Calcutta invites applications form for admission to 1st Year of 2-Year LL.M. Course for the Academic session 2023-2024 for the under Department/Colleges:

  1. Department of Law, C.U
  2. Surendra Nath Law College
  3. Jogesh Chandra Choudhury Law College
  4. South Calcutta Law College
  5. Kolkata Police Law Institute (Self-financed) [preferably for in-service personnel of Kolkata Police and West Bengal Police

 

Important Dates

  • Submission of online application commences on: 10th November 2023
  • Last date of online application submission: 28th November 2023
  • Submission of online application commences on: 10th November 2023
  • Application Fees payment made on within : 10th – 28th November 2023

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Passed B.A.LL.B (Hons)/ B.A.LL.B / LL.B (Hons)/ LL.B with minimum 45% marks from a recognized University.
  • Appearing candidates of B.A.LL.B (Hons)/ B.A.LL.B / LL.B (Hons)/ LL.B final examinations can also apply for admission but have to upload the mark sheets (of B.A.LL.B (Hons)/ B.A.LL.B / LL.B (Hons)/ LL.B final examinations) before the publication of the draft merit list.

 

Application Process

  • Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website https://www.caluniv.ac.in/
  • The candidates desirous to seek admission are required to apply online. Only those applicants, who apply online before the last date and satisfy the eligibility criteria, will be considered for admission.
  • The candidates are to upload (i) mark sheets of B.A.LL.B (Hons)/ B.A.LL.B / LL.B (Hons)/ LL.B final examinations, (ii) SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, and PWD certificates, (iii) In-service Kolkata Police and West Bengal Police personnel have to obtain and upload the in-service certificates from the competent authority.
  • There is no application fee and no entrance examination.

 

Selection Procedure

  • Selection will be made on the basis of merit. The merit for admission will be determined by the marks obtained in B. A. LL. B (Hons)/ BB. A. LL. B / LL. B (Hons)/ LL. B examinations.
