Telangana LAWCET and PGLCET Notification 2019, Dates

TS LAWCET 2019 Notification - TS Law Common Entrance Test (TSLAWCET 2019) for admission into 3/5 years Law Courses (LLB) and TS PG Law Common Entrance Test (TS PGLCET 2019) for admission into LLM Courses Offered by State Universities in Telangana State including their affiliated colleges for the academic year 2019-20 will be conducted by Osmania University, Hyderabad.


Eligible candidates may apply through online mode only from March to April 2019 (without late fee) and may login to www.lawcet.tsche.ac.in.

TS LAWCET 2019 Important Dates

  • Date of Commencement of Submission of Online Application Forms: 15th March 2019
  • Last Date for Submission of Applications without Late fee: 15th April 2019
  • Last Date for Submission of Application with Late Fee:
  • With Late Fee of Rs.250/-: 4th week of April 2019
  • With Late Fee of Rs.500/-: 1st week of May 2019
  • With Late Fee of Rs.1000/-: 2nd week of May 2019
  • With Late Fee of Rs.1500/-: Mid of May 2019
  • TS LAWCET / TS PGLAWCET 2019 Exam Date: 20th May 2019 (11.00 am to 12.30 pm)
  • Result Declaration: June 2019



  • A Common Entrance Test, designated as Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test-2019 (TSLAWCET 2019) and Telangana State PG Law Common Entrance Test-2019 (TSPGLCET 2019) will be conducted by the convener, TS LAWCET / TS PGLCET-2019, Osmania University, Hyderabad on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).
  • The T.S. Law common Entrance Test 2019 & its Admissions will be made in strict compliance of the Rules and Regulations of the University Concerned, BCI, TSCHE and relevant GOs of TS that are in force and amendments that may come into force from time to time.

Eligibility Criteria for TS LAWCET 2019

  • For 3 year LLB Course: Candidates for 3 year LLB should have passed any Graduate Degree (10+2+3 pattern) of a recognized University with 45% of aggregate marks or any other exam recognized as equivalent by the Universities concerned. If any candidate secured less than 45% in graduation, he should have passed any additional graduation or post graduation with 45%.
  • For 5 year LLB Course: Candidates for 5 year LLB should have passed two year Intermediate Exam (10+2 pattern) with 45% of aggregate marks or any other exam recognized as equivalent by the University concerned or the Board of Intermediate Education, T.S and Bar Council of India.
  • Note: The percentage of 39.5% or above in case of candidates belongs to SC/ST category and 44.5% or above in case of other categories will be considered as 40% and 45% respectively.
  • There is a relaxation of 5% of marks in the above qualifying exams for 3 year/5 year Law Course
  • Age Limit: Subject to the conditions stipulated by the Govt. of T.S & BCI, in this behalf, the maximum age limit for a candidate seeking admission into the 3-year/5-year LLB Course shall be 30 years and 20 years (relaxable by two years in case of SCs/STs) respectively.
  • Nationality and Domicile: The Candidate should be an Indian National and should satisfy Local/ Unreserved Status requirement as laid down in the Telangana Educational Institutions Order 1974 and the amendments made there to from time to time.


Eligibility Criteria for TS PGLCET 2019

  • LLM Courses are offered as full-time regular courses in the University Colleges, Constituent/PG Colleges of the University and Private Law Colleges affiliated to the Universities

Educational Qualifications

  • Candidates holding LLB/B.L 3/5 year degree on the date of application and candidates who have appeared/appearing for LLB/B.L Final year examination are also eligible
  • The Candidates seeking admission into LLM (Private Appearance) of Osmania University, Hyderabad shall have a minimum experience of 3 years as a judicial officer or 3-years standing as an advocate on the date of appearing for TS PGLCET-2019
  • A candidate appearing for LLB/BL 3/5 year degree examinations may take the T S PGLCET-2019 in anticipation of results; however, he should pass at the time of counselling


Qualifying marks in TS LAWCET 2019

  • The qualifying percentage of marks in the Entrance Test is 35% (i.e. 42 marks out of total 120 marks). There will be no minimum qualifying marks for S.Cs & S.Ts for ranking


TS LAWCET 2019 Exam Pattern

  • The Test is designed to evaluate the candidate’s ability and aptitude to pursue the study of Law. The Test consists of three parts. Total number of questions will be 120 and the duration of test is 90 minutes, Maximum marks are 120
  • Part-A: Consists of 30 questions carrying 30 marks: General Knowledge and Mental Ability
  • Part-B: Consists of 30 questions carrying 30 marks: Current Affairs
  • Part-C: Consists of 60 questions carrying 60 marks: Aptitude for the Study of Law
  • For 5 year Law Course, the standard expected is of Intermediate level and for 3 year Law Course, the standard expected is of Degree Level


TS LAWCET 2019 Test Centre

  • Regional Centers of Entrance Test for 3 year / 5 year LL.B. Courses: Adilabad, Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Warangal, Mahabubnagar, Siddipet, Manchierial, Kothagudem and Sangareddy.
  • The Convener reserves the right to cancel any of the above centers, if the applicants for that center are less than 100 only.
  • Medium of Entrance Test: The question paper will be set both in English and Telugu

Hall Tickets & Rank Cards

  • The candidates should note that the Hall Tickets and Rank Cards will not be sent by post. They have to download from the website as detailed below:
  • Candidates have to download the Hall Tickets from the website lawcet.tsche.ac.in one week before the Test by entering his/her details
  • Candidates are also advised to download the Rank Cards from the website lawcet.tsche.ac.in after publication of results

  • Apply Online - Visit the TSLAWCET website www.tslawcet.org and go through the information carefully. Be ready with the “mandatory details” and then Click on "APPLY ONLINE" field. It will guide you through the whole process by providing information about TSLAWCET-2019

Registration Fee and Payment

  • Candidates have to pay Rs 800/- (Rs 500/- for SC / ST) through TS Online / AP Online / E-Seva / Mee-Seva centers in Telangana / AP and also through Payment Gateway (Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking)
  • Submission of applications is through online mode only. Submission of Applications is permitted through online mode only; fee payment through AP Online/Payment Gateway (Credit card/Debit card/Net Banking)
  • Note: The Candidates have to Mark their Responses on Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Answer Sheet by Darkening the Relevant Ovals with Ball Point Pen.
