UPES ULSAT 2018 Notification- University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) has invited application for admission to Law Programs (UL-SAT) offered in various disciplines for the commencing session 2018.

UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test (UL-SAT) / Board Merit / CLAT Merit / L-SAT India Merit followed by Group Discussion & Interview.

Eligibility Criteria

  • UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test(UL-SAT) is conducted for the admission in undergraduate level programs in law courses
  • BA LLB Hons with emphasis on Energy Laws, BBA LLB with Emphasis on Corporate Laws, B.Com LLB Hons with emphasis on Taxation Laws: Minimum 50% marks at higher & senior level (10th & 12th)
  • Admission Criteria: UPES Online Law Studies Aptitude Test (UL-SAT) / Board Merit/CLAT Merit/L-SAT India Merit followed by Group Discussion & Interview
  • B.Tech Energy Technology + LLB (Hons) with specialization in intellectual property rights (IPR):(i) Minimum 60% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th); (ii) Minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level
  • Admission Criteria: UPES Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT) followed by Centralized Counseling
  • LLM (with specialization in Energy Laws, International Law): Minimum 50% marks at Higher & Secondary Level (10th & 12th) and LLB degree
  • ExamPathway: Admission in Law Programs through UL-SAT (Seats Allotted- Upto 80%)
  • Non-Exam Pathway: LAW Programs through Board Merit/ CLAT Merit/ L-SAT India Merit# (Upto 20% of seats)

 

CLAT Merit / L-SAT India Merit:

  • For BA LLB (Hons)/BBA LLB (Hons)/ B.Com, LLB (Hons):Candidates with minimum 50% Marks in Higher & Senior Secondary (10th & 12th) and CLAT ranking upto 5000/L-SAT India score of 60% or above will be exempted from UPES Law Studies Aptitude test and will be invited directly for GD Interview
  • For B.Tech+LLB (Hons): Candidates with minimum 50% Marks in Higher & Senior Secondary (10th & 12th), minimum 50% Marks in PCM at Senior Secondary Level (12th) and CLAT ranking upto 5000/L-SAT India score of 60% or above will be exempted from UPES-EAT and admissions through Merit Ranking
  • Board Merit:
  • For BA LLB (Hons)/BBA LLB (Hons)/B.Com LLB (Hons):Candidates with 85% marks in 10th and 12th best of five subjects (English as one of the compulsory paper) are exempted from UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test (UL-SAT) and will be invited directly for GD and Interview
  • For B.Tech+LLB (Hons): Candidates with minimum 80% marks in 10th, 12th and 12th PCM (Physics, Chemistry & Maths) are exempted from UPES-EAT and admissions will be through Merit Ranking.

 

Age Criteria:

  • Only candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 01st October 1998 are eligible to apply for admission; date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate only will be taken as authentic
  • Upto 20 percent seats shall be filled through Board Merit / CLAT / L-SAT India Category. In case, any seat remaining vacant UPES has the right to fill such seats through UPES Entrance Exam.

 

ULSAT 2018 Exam Pattern

  • Candidates will appear for the online test by logging in with their credential from their computer connected with a webcam and internet connection
  • Name of the Program: LLB (all streams - 5 years) - ULSAT
  • ULSAT 2018 Exam Date: 05th May 2018 - Offline Test and 12th May 2018 - Online Test
  • Entrance Test Locations:Agra, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Delhi, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Haldwani, Hyderabad, Indore, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Noida and Patna
  • Scheme of Test: (i) Language Comprehension (40 questions); (ii) Quantitative & Numerical Ability (40 questions); (iii) Logical Reasoning (40 questions); (iv) Legal General Knowledge (40 questions); (v) Legal Aptitude (40 questions); and Total No.of Questions: 200 Questions

 

Application Procedure

  • Candidates need to apply https://www.upes.ac.in/upes-programs/llb.php
  • Candidates desirous of seeking admission to the program may procure the prospectus and application form from UPES Enrolment Offices at Dehradun/Delhi on payment of Rs.1750/- (Rs.1850/-, if required through post or courier)
  • The payment should be made in the form of demand draft drawn in favor of "UPES Fee Account", payable at Dehradun/Delhi
  • The cost of the prospectus and application form by demand draft/online is Rs.1850/- and Rs.1750/- by cash
  • Note: University reserves the right to change the test date or cancel the Test; the candidates will be sent their login credentials at least 24 hours before the exam on the registered email ID of the applicants
