- Availability of Online Application-cum-Admission form for Army and All India Civil Categories: 20th April 2019
- Last date of submission of Application-cum-Admission form along with fees for Army and All India Civil Categories: 14th May 2019
- Last date of submission of Application-cum-Admission form along with late fees for Army and All India Civil Categories: 17th May 2019
- Downloading of Admit Cards: 02nd June 2019 to 08th June 2019
- Date of Entrance Test for Army and All India Civil Categories: 08th June 2019 (Saturday, 09.00 am to 11.00 am)
- Declaration of Result on or before (Online): 14th June 2019
- First Counselling-cum-Admission for Army and All India Categories: 17th July 2019
- Reporting of Students for Classes: 18th July 2019
- The LLM Course has been adopted with the objective of imparting in depth knowledge in the field of law with specializations.
- The Program is designed to put students on a strong footing to undertake jobs in teaching and other sectors at the National and International level. Students are awarded the Post Graduate Degree after successful completion of the one-year program.

Eligibility Criteria for Army Institute of Law LLM Admission 2019
- A candidate who has passed 10+2 exam from Punjab School Education Board or any other equivalent examination recognized as such by the Punjabi University, Patiala, securing at least 45% marks vide Punjabi University Letter No.216468/Meeting-4 dated 7 May 2004. The applicants who have obtained 10+2 through open university systems directly, without having any basic qualifications for pursuing such studies, are not eligible for admission in Law Courses.
- The applicants appearing for the qualifying examination in March/April 2019 are allowed to take the Entrance Test - 2018 provisionally, subject to the condition that their candidature shall stand cancelled in case they do not pass the 10 + 2 March / April Exams 2019 with the required percentage of marks.
- Candidates passing the compartment papers of qualifying exam of 10 + 2 subsequently shall not be eligible for admission even if a seat is available
- In case an applicant has passed a qualifying examination from Board/University whose degree has not been notified as equivalent to the Punjabi University, Patiala, he/she will have to produce the eligibility certificate from Punjabi University, Patiala at the time of interview, failing which his / her candidature shall not be considered.
- Candidates whose declaration of results is delayed should apply well in time to the concerned Board of examination to forward a confidential result directly to Principal, Army Institute of Law, Mohali, Punjab. The responsibility to ensure its timely dispatch will be that of the candidate. Delayed receipt of result shall render the candidate ineligible for admission.
- Admission to 60 seats for wards of army personnel will be done through entrance test (Online LET) conducted by AIL under the aegis of AWES.
- Admission to 04 seats in the All India Category will also through the same entrance test.
- Candidates for both Army and All India Category will be called for counselling as per merit in the written exam. Admission will be granted only if the candidate is found eligible on the day of counselling.
- Admission to 16 seats in the Punjab Category will be based on 10+2 merits, drawn up by the nominated university as per the notification issued by Govt. of Punjab.
- Test centres have been declared. The exam will be conducted across 50 exam centres in India which are as mentioned below:

- To apply AIL Entrance Test candidates are required to choose either offline or online. The Online Application-cum-Admission Form comprises of two steps:
- Step I - Go to AIL Website www.ail.ac.in
- Click on the link Admission 2019-20, Online Registration Step-I will appear
- Fill the basic information of the candidate (i.e. Category, Name of the Candidate, Date of Birth, Password, Father's Name, Email ID and Mobile No etc)
- The Registration No and Password will be automatically forwarded to the email ID provided by candidate; the same is required before filling online form Step II
- After submitting the above-mentioned information, a Bank Pay-in-Slip will be generated; the unique AIL Registration No will also be mentioned on the Bank Pay-in-Slip. Now go to any branch of Axis Bank and deposit fees to the AIL account which is mentioned on the Bank Pay-in-Slip.
- After depositing your fee at the bank please check that journal number and branch code are clearly written on the bank slip. Online form step -II cannot be completed without journal number and branch code.
- Before applying online, Scanned copy of the Passport Size Photograph (Size Maximum 120KB), Signature (Size Maximum 100 KB), 10th DMC & Bank Receipt should be ready for filling the Online Form.
