AMU LAW ENTRANCE EXAM 2017 for BA LLB and LLM Admission

Aligarh Muslim University invites applications for admission to Bachelor's Degree Course (BA LLB) Programme and 2-year Master Degree Programme (LLM) for the academic year 2017.

AMU BA LLB & LLM 2017 or Aligarh Muslim University BA LLB & LLM 2017 entrance exam is conducted by AMU for admissions into Undergraduate and Postgraduate Law Programmes of Colleges affiliated to this University

Course Details

Aligarh Muslim University law entrance exam (AMU law entrance exam) is conducted to provide admission to aspirants in the Law Courses mentioned below:

Bachelor’s Degree Course

BA LLB - 5 Years (10 Semesters)

i. AMU Aligarh (LLBA) 100 Seats

ii. AMU Centre, Malappuram (LLBK) 60 Seats

iii. AMU Centre, Murshidabad (LLBW) 60 Seats

LLM 2 Years (4 Semesters) - 25 Seats

There are 220 seats in total that are available for the purpose of admission and candidates will need to take the offline exam

Eligibility Criteria for BA LLB 2017

The candidates seeking admission in law programmes of Aligarh Muslim University are advised to check the AMU BA LLB 2017 Eligibility Criteria before applying. It is essential for the candidates to satisfy the specific requirements stated by the University to be eligible for the exam

The candidate must have qualified Senior Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent examination with an aggregate of minimum 50% marks

Those who have qualified the Bridge Course from AMU with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate are also eligible

The maximum age limit is 22 years, as noted on July 1 of the year the candidate gains admission

All aspirants who possess a graduation degree in LLB/BA LLB course offered at Aligarh Muslim University or any other recognised university with at least 55% aggregate marks meet the AMU law entrance exam 2017 eligibility criteria for LLM course admissions

Application Fee and Payment

The application fee for AMU BA LLB 2017 is an amount of Rs. 500/- and the candidate can pay it via a Demand Draft (in case of offline mode) or by using a credit / debit card or net banking (in case of online mode). The DD should be drawn in favour of Finance Officer, A.M.U., Aligarh and should be payable at Aligarh

The application fee for AMU LLM 2017 is an amount of Rs.3500/-

Exam Admit Card

After successfully submitting the application form, aspirants need to download the AMU law entrance exam 2017 admit card from the official website of the university
AMU law entrance exam admit card is a mandatory document to be carried to the test centre. The admit card contains aspirant’s details (name and roll number) and test details (date, time, and AMU law entrance exam centre location)

Next, aspirants need to appear for AMU law entrance exam 2017 at the allotted test centre. AMU law entrance exam 2017 will be of two hours duration and will contain a total of 85 questions (objective and subjective)

Exam Pattern for BA LLB Course:

AMU law entrance exam 2017 test pattern for BA LLB course is such that the question paper will contain 75 objective-type questions and 10 subjective-type short questions. Aspirants need to complete the exam in two hours duration

Questions in the exam will be based on subjects such as General English, Current Affairs, General Knowledge, as well as Reasoning and Aptitude

Entrance Exam Pattern for LLM Course:

AMU law entrance exam 2017 pattern for LLM course is such that the question paper will contain 20 short answer-type questions of 100 marks that aspirants need to complete in a duration of two hours. It may be noted that all questions in the exam will be of LLB/ BA LLB standard, informs the official website
