OFFICE OF THE COMMISSIONER FOR ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS

1. Applications are invited for the Entrance Examination for admission to Five Year LL.B Course-2011 in the
Government Law Colleges at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode.
2. Eligibility for Admission:
(i) Nativity: Applicant should be an Indian citizen of Kerala Origin.
(ii) Academic qualifications: Applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of
Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or any other Examination recognized by the Universities in Kerala as
equivalent thereto, with a minimum of 40% marks. Candidates seeking admission under SC/ST category should
have passed the qualifying examination with 35% marks. Candidates who are appearing /have appeared for the
qualifying examination this year are also eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination subject to the condition that
they should produce the pass certificate of the qualifying examination at the time of Admission.
(iii)Age: The applicant should complete 17 years of age ason 31st December 2011.
Qualifying standards in the Entrance Examination: To qualify in the rank list for
admission to Integrated Five year LL.B course, a General/SEBC applicant should get a
minimum of 25% of total marks in the Entrance Examination and a candidate belonging to
SC/ST category should get a minimum of 20% of total marks out of 600 in the Entrance
Examination.
3. Entrance Examination: The Entrance Examination will be conducted at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode on 31.07.2011 (Sunday). It will be of 3 hours duration and will consist of 200 Multiple Choice Questions. The Questions will cover General Knowledge, English and Aptitude for Legal Studies.
4. Application forms: Candidates seeking admission to the course can apply online through the web site www.cee-kerala.org of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. There will be separate link for General, SEBC and SC/ST candidates. The site will be opened for online registration from 06.07.2011 to 18.07.2011, 5 p.m.
5. Application Fee: For General and SEBC candidates, the application fee is Rs.600/-
(Rupees Six Hundred Only) and for SC/ST Candidates the application fee is Rs.300/- (Rupees
Three Hundred Only).The required fee can be remitted at any branch of the State bank of
Travancore using the Bank Chalan which is available in the online application print out. The
original Chalan should be attached with the application form duly signed and authorized by
Bank authorities on remittance of application fees. Candidates outside Kerala State can remit
the application fee by attaching a Demand Draft for the requisite amount drawn on a
Nationalized Bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at
Thiruvananthapuram.
6. Last date and time for receipt of filled-in application forms :
Last date and time for receipt of filled-in application forms: Candidates should take the
printout of the online application and fix a passport size photograph same as the one which is
uploaded, in the space provided. The photograph should be attested by the candidate and
forward the same with all the required documents to the Commissioner for Entrance
Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, 5th Floor, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram –
695 001, either by Registered post or by hand delivery on or before 5 pm on 18.11.2011.
7. The candidates registered for the Examination can download their ADMIT CARD through the website www.cee-kerala.org from 24.07.2011 onwards.
8. Belated, incomplete and defective applications will be summarily rejected and no correspondence will be undertaken in this regard. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will not be responsible for any postal delay.
9. Institution wise Allotment: The Institution wise allotment will be made by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations in accordance with the rank obtained by the candidates in the Entrance Examination and the order of preference of Institutions given by the candidates at the time of Online Seat Allotment. Candidates need not submit their preference for Institutions in the application form.
10. Candidates will not be allowed to include any additional information in the application form or
to submit any certificates/documents claiming reservation or any benefits, after the
submission of the application, under any circumstances.
11. Applicants must go through the various provisions related to Entrance Examination , course eligibility, distribution of seats, reservation etc given in Prospectus for 2011, approved by the Government and available in the official website of Commissioner for Entrance Examinations at www.cee-kerala.org before submitting the application form.
12. The Centralized allotment to the course will be conducted after the publication of the results of
the Entrance Examination. Individual intimation regarding the Centralized Allotment Process
(CAP) will not be sent to candidates. The details of CAP will be announced later through
leading news papers.
13. The Entrance Examination and subsequent allotments will be based on the various provisions
laid down in the Prospectus for admission to Integrated 5 year LL.B Courses in Government
Law Colleges, Kerala 2011, approved by the Government. The Prospectus will be available in
the Official web site of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations www.cee-kerala.org
Candidates are directed to go through the various provisions in the Prospectus before
submitting their applications.
