Chanakya National Law University is a residential University established under the Bihar Act No. 24 of 2006 and recognized u/s 2(f) of the UGC Act.
ELIGIBILITY : Applicant should have passed Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2 system) or equivalent Examination with not less than 45% of marks in aggregate. Those appearing for the examination in March/April, 2007 can also apply. Applicant must not have completed 21 years of age (SC/ST/OBC/Girls and Physically challenged candidates below 23 years) as on
July 1, 2007 . Total seats 80 only.
National Entrance Test : Sunday the 27 th May 2007 from 3.00 P.M. to 5.00 P.M. Reservations : As per the Bihar Reservation Act, 2003. SC – 16%, ST – 1% EBC – 18%, BC – 12%, Women of B.C. (may also opt) for the reserved categories to which they belong. if they so desire) 3%. Total Fees : Payable at the time of admission Rs. 66,550/- (Excluding Mess Charges). Centres for Exam : Bangalore , Chennai, Delhi , Hyderabad , Kochi , Kolkata, Lucknow , Mumbai, Patna and Ranchi . Last date for receipt of filled in application alongwith DD of Rs. 1,000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST only) drawn in favour of Registrar, NCLU, Patna – Friday 27 th April 2007 . The Bihar Government has established
EXAMINATION PATTERN
The Test Paper is in four parts and carries 200 marks:
(a) General Knowledge 50 marks;
(b) General English & Comprehension 50 marks;
(c) Reasoning & Legal Aptitude 50 marks; and
(d) Short Answer Questions 20 marks and
(e) Essay 30 marks (on current topics).
The duration of the test is 2 hours. Parts (a) (b) and (c) will be multiple choice type questions. There is no negative marking.
The General Knowledge component will cover the following fields:
1. Significant legal events and developments
2. Current events of national and international importance
3. General Science
4. History of India
5. Geography
6. Indian Polity and Economy
