JKBOPEE Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Admission 2024 – Online Applications are invited from the eligible/desirous candidates who intend to appear in the Entrance Test for admission to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Courses for the academic session-2024 in various Government / Private Colleges / Institutions of UT of J&K.

Important Dates

  • Receipt of online application forms: w.e.f. 11-05-2024.
  • Last date for filling the online application forms: 25-05-2024 (Midnight).
  • Downloading of Admit Cards(in case Entrance examination was held) : Shall be notified separately
  • Date of conduct of examination : Tentatively on 09th June, 2024


Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidates applying for admission to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Programme must fulfill the following eligibility criteria;
  • A candidate must:
    • a Domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh as the case may (For Candidates belonging to UT of Ladakh, ST certificate issued by Competent Authority of Ladakh shall be treated as Domicile Certificate); 
    • have passed 10+2 or Equivalent Examination from a Recognized Board and have obtained a Certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) Examination and Registered as R.N.R.M. with J&K Paramedical Nursing Council. A male Nurse, trained before the implementation of new Integrated Course besides being registered as a Nurse with J&K Paramedical Nursing Council, shall produce evidence of training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the areas such as O.T. Techniques, Ophthalmic Nursing, Leprosy Nursing, T.B. Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Neurological and Neurosurgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Cancer Nursing, Orthopaedic Nursing;
    • be medically fit.
  • The candidates who have appeared/appearing in final year/Sem. of GNM examination 2024 and whose result is pending can also apply for the same subject to the condition that they shall have to submit the final year/sem marks card at the time of counseling/admission, as may be decided by the Board, otherwise their candidature shall be rejected without any further claim(s) from such students.

Application Fee

  • Application Fee : Rs. 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only)
  • Mode of Payment : Online through national Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking


Exam Pattern

  • Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing course CET Examination shall consist of Single Paper with three sections with 120 questions with time duration of 02.00 hours. The questions shall be multiple choice objective types with one mark each. There will be 0.25 negative marks for each wrong answer; 
  • The medium of test will be English only;

  • The entrance test is based on the courses of study and syllabi of GNM course issued by Indian Nursing Council (INC). It is given as under along with broad weightage of each subject in the question paper of the Entrance Test.
  • Medical Surgical Nursing (with distribution as given below): Marks= 45
      • Medical Surgical Nursing-I 15 marks
      • Medical Surgical Nursing-II 15 marks
      • Anatomy and Physiology 07 marks
      • Pathophysiology & Microbiology 08 marks
  • Medical Health Nursing (with distribution as given below): Marks= 20
      • Mental Health Nursing 10 marks
      • Psychology 05 marks
      • Sociology 05 marks
  • Child Health Nursing (with distribution as given below): Marks= 12
      • Child Health Nursing 10 marks
      • Nutrition 02 marks
  • Midwifery & Gynaecological Nursing (with distribution as given below): Marks= 17
      • Midwifery & Gynaecological Nursing 10 marks
      • Fundamental of Nursing 07 marks
  • Community Health Nursing (with distribution as given below): Marks= 26

  • Note: The marks distribution given in the syllabus is only illustrative. It will not accrue any right to the candidate, if this distribution of marks is not strictly reflected in the question paper.
