Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences announces Entrance Exam for Admission to PhD, PDCC, PGCC and Certificate Courses 2019 January Session

ILBS PhD, PDCC, PGCC and Certificate Admission 2020 - Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), New Delhi invites applications from the eligible candidates to appear for ILBS Entrance Exam for the PhD, PDCC, PGCC and Certificate Courses admission for the academic year starting from 01st January 2020.

In this notification, we have updated detailed information about the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences Admission 2020 including application forms, eligibility, exam dates, pattern, etc.

ILBS New Delhi (Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences Admission)

  • Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences (ILBS) is an autonomous super-specialty institute of excellence under Govt. of National Capital Territory of Delhi. The Deemed-to-be-University status was conferred to ILBS by the UGC under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956.

ILBS PhD, PDCC, PGCC and Certificate Admission 2020 Important Dates

  • Last Date of filling Online Application Form is 02nd December 2019 (at 05.00 pm)
  • The Entrance Exam will be held on 15th December 2019 (Sunday), for all the courses
  • Department Assessment: 16th December 2019 (Monday)
  • The course shall commence from 01st January 2020

Duration of the Courses:

  • PDCC & PGCC - One Year Duration
  • Certificate Courses - 06 Months Duration
  • Ph.D - 3-5 Years Duration

Eligibility for PhD Courses

PhD in Molecular & Cellular Medicine/Epidemiology of Viral Hepatitis and Liver Diseases:

  • NET/NEET-qualified candidates (with independent fellowship)- direct interview / Departmental Assessment.
  • Non-NET/NEET candidates – written test followed by interview/Departmental Assessment. Master’s Degree in Biological Sciences (Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Zoology, Microbiology) or a Professional degree (MBBS, Master Degree in Medical or Dental Sciences, M.Tech., M.Pharma., M.V.Sc or other degrees) declared equivalent to Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory body. Candidates should have secured minimum 60% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade as per UGC rules.

  1. PDCC in Liver Transplant Anesthesia: MD/DNB in Anesthesia or equivalent Postgraduate qualification recognized by IMC Act 1956
  2. PDCC in HPB Interventional Radiology: MD/DNB in Radiology or equivalent Postgraduate qualification recognized by IMC Act 1956
  3. PDCC in Pediatric Hepatology: MD/DNB in Paediatric or equivalent Postgraduate qualification recognized by IMC Act 1956
  4. PDCC Hepatopathology: MD/DNB in Pathology or equivalent Postgraduate qualification recognized by IMC Act 1956
  5. PDCC in Hepatic and Transplant Virology: MD (Microbiology) or equivalent Postgraduate qualification recognized by IMC Act 1956
  6. PDCC in Critical Care Medicine (with specialization in Liver Intensive care): MD (Medicine/Pulmonary Medicine/Anesthesia) or equivalent Postgraduate qualification recognized by IMC Act 1956
  7. PDCC in HPB / GI Oncology: MD (Medicine/Pediatrics/Radiotherapy) or equivalent Postgraduate qualification recognized under IMC Act 1956
  8. PDCC in Abdominal Imaging: MD (Radiology) or equivalent Postgraduate qualification recognized under IMC Act 1956
  9. PDCC in Blood Banking & Immunohaematology: MD (Pathology/Laboratory Medicine) or equivalent Postgraduate qualification recognized under IMC Act 1956
  10. PDCC in Advanced Diagnostic and Clinical Microbiology: MD/DNB in Microbiology
  11. PDCC in Apheresis Technology: MD/DNB (Transfusion Medicine / Pathology / Laboratory Medicine)
  12. PGCC in Clinical Nutrition: Sc./MBBS
  13. PGCC in Epidemiology of Viral Hepatitis and Liver Diseases: BAMS / BHMS / MBBS / BDS / BSc. Nursing / M.Sc. Statistics
  14. PGCC in Clinical Research in Liver Diseases: BAMS / BHMS / MBBS / BDS / B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Statistics
  15. Certificate Course in Nephrology: MBBS with 3 years experience
  16. Critical Care Certification Course: MBBS with one-year experience in Critical Care

Selection Process

  • Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of all India entrance test. all applications must be screened for eligibility and only the eligible candidates would be called for the entrance test.

  • The interested candidates should apply online at the ILBS website http://www.ilbs.in
  • Candidates must ensure their eligibility from the prospectus before applying.
  • Candidates should submit their application online at the ILBS website (http://www.ilbs.in). The applications for in-service candidates for sponsored seat must be routed through proper channel.
  • The application fee is Rs.5000/- for PDCC courses, Rs.2500/- for PGCC courses and Rs.1000/- for Ph.D. and Certificate Courses. The fee must be paid by net-banking/debit/credit cards. The application fee once paid will not be refunded even in case of his/her application is rejected.
