Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) School of Law was established in the year 2005. It offers Certificate, Diploma, Post Graduate Diploma and Postgraduate Certificate in Law through Distance mode.

IGNOU offers admission twice a year – January & July cycles. Admission is done based on merit. Candidates can submit applications in either Online or Offline mode.
The Certificate courses in Law are offered for six months. Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma courses are offered for one year. Post Graduate Certificate and Certificate courses is offered for six months.

Certificate in Anti-Human Trafficking (CAHT)

Eligibility: Any Graduate,10+2 with five years of experience in the related field/10th standard (after doing bridge course from IGNOU, they will be admitted)
Duration Minimum 6 months Maximum 2 years
Fees: INR 1400

Certificate in Consumer Protection (CCP)

Eligibility: 10+2 OR its equivalent
Duration Minimum 6 months Maximum 2 years
Fees: INR 1800

Certificate in Human Rights (CHR)

Eligibility: 10+2 OR its equivalent

Certificate in International Humanitarian Law (CIHL)

Eligibility: 10+2 OR its equivalent

Certificate in Co-Operation, Co-Operative Law and Business Law (CCLBL)

Eligibility: i) 10+2 for in-service personnel (with minimum three years service) iii) Any degree for fresher

Eligibility: Graduate in any discipline
Duration Minimum 1 year Maximum 3 years

Post Graduate Diploma in Criminal Justice (PGDCJ)

Eligibility: Any Graduate, Graduate in Criminology, Social Work & Functionaries of Criminal Justice Administration

Post Graduate Certificate in Cyber Law (PGCCL)

Eligibility: Graduate in any discipline or 4th and 5th year students of 5-year integrated LLB course who passed three years.

Post Graduate Certificate in Patent Practice (PGCPP)

Eligibility: Degree in Science/ Technology/Medicine, Law and 4th and 5th year students of integrated LL.B. Course who passed three years. Learners with experience in dealing with patents and technology transfer will be preferred.

The Applicants can submit the forms through online mode only at https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in/

Steps for filling Online Application Form

Download the Information Brochure July 2023 and read it carefully.
Please ensure your eligibility for the program before filling the online application form
Click on the button “REGISTER YOURSELF” that appears in the applicant login area and fill the required registration details.
After filling the mandatory information, click the “SUBMIT” button.
Your username will be instantly sent to you via email and SMS.
If you have already registered i.e. you are an existing user, click the “LOGIN” button from the homepage of Online Entrance Test and then login with your Username and password by clicking the “LOGIN” button given on the login screen.
Fill personal details, program details, qualification details and correspondence details.
Upload Scanned Photograph (less than 100 KB) and Signature (less than 50 KB)
Pay your Application Fee through debit/credit card (Master/Visa/Rupay) and Net banking:
Once you have uploaded your photograph and signature, click the next button. You will get the Form preview option. Save/Print your form for future reference
