Eligibility Criteria for SCTIMST Trivandrum Admission 2020
| MCh Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery, Vascular surgery, Neurosurgery | MS in General Surgery from an Indian University recognized by MCI or Diplomate of the National Board in General Surgery or any equivalent degree recognized by MCI for this purpose from time to time. |
| Age Limit – 40 years (as on 1st July 2020); | |
| Age limit is Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates, sponsored candidates and qualified Ex-service personnel with service duration not less than 5 years. | |
| MCh Neurosurgery (5-year course) | MBBS from an Indian university recognized by MCI and one-year post-MBBS residency/Senior house surgency in General surgery from a university/PG Institute/Teaching Hospital recognized by the MCI for General Surgery postgraduate training |
| Post-doctoral Fellowship (PDF) | The Institute offers a one-year Post-doctoral Fellowship (PDF) for those who have DM/MCh (3-year) or equivalent qualifications |

| MD Transfusion medicine | MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized university. They should have completed one year of compulsory internship from a medical college of repute. The candidate should have applied for and obtained registration with the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council. |
| Age Limit for MD Transfusion medicine & PDF | Forty years (as on 1st January 2021), relaxable by five years for SC/ST candidates, sponsored candidates and for qualified Ex-service personnel with a service of not less than five years. |
| M.Phil Program | Post graduate (MSc / MS / MTech / ME, etc.) in Biological/Chemical/Physical Sciences (including Polymer Sciences/Chemistry but excluding Plant Sciences and Bioinformatics) with minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA) |

Selection Process for SCTIMST Trivandrum Admission 2020
| Short-listing of the application based on the merit of a 500 words short research project proposal and letters of references. Short listed candidates will be called for an interview for final selection. | |
| PhD Program | The selection of research scholars will be based on the performance in the interview. Candidates must upload a Research Proposal (about 1000 words) and a Statement of Purpose for undertaking a research career (about 300 to 500 words) while submitting their application |
| M.Phil Program | The selection will be based on the performance in the written test and interview. The candidates who fulfil the minimum educational qualifications will be admitted for a written test. |
| Master Degree, PG Diploma & Advanced Certificate Programs | Selection will be based on a written test and interview will be conducted by University. |
