For Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) :
- Last date of receipt of application form :- 10th July 2021
- Counseling & Admission I Round :- 20th July 2021
- Counseling & Admission II Round :- 02nd August 2021
- Commencement of Classes :- 06th August 2021
- Last date for Admission against vacant seats :- 30th October 2021
For Master in Physiotherapy (MPT)
- Last date of receipt of application :- 20th July 2021
- Counselling & Admission :- 26th July 2021
- Commencement of Classes :- 16th August 2021
- Last date for Admission against vacant seats :- 30th October 2021
Total Intake
- BPT : 50 seats
- MPT : 12 seats
Eligibility Criteria for SMU MPT & BPT Admission 2021
For BPT Program :
- Must have passed (10+2) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English
- General candidates: Should have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (PCB) and minimum of 50% marks in English separately from recognized Board/University
- SC/ST/OBC: Should have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (PCB) and minimum of 50% marks in English separately from recognized Board/University
For MPT Program :
- Must have passed Bachelor of Physiotherapy examination from full time, in-campus BPT course program from an institution/university duly recognized by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists.
- Should have secured a minimum of 55% of marks in aggregate for all candidates.
- Candidates who are presently doing their BPT internship are also eligible to apply, but their admission to the course program is subject to their internship completion on or before August 14, 2021.
- Note: Candidates applying under General Category will be provided with Scholarship.
SMU MPT & BPT Admission 2021 Application Process
- Eligible candidates can apply online through official website https://smu.edu.in/
- The cost of the application form is Rs.1000/-. There is no extra charge for the prospectus on purchase of the application form.

- Candidates should be read very carefully before filling the application form.
- Completed application form along with the copies of necessary documents in support of claim in any reserved category should be dispatched to the admission officer.

Admission Procedure
- For BPT :- Admission will be based on the inter-se merit of the candidates based on percentage of aggregate marks of PCB secured in 10+ 2 (or equivalent) qualifying examination. Those who desire to take admission in BPT should apply online: www.smu.edu.in and upload the required documents.
- MPT : – Admission will be based on the inter-se merit of the candidates on the basis percentage of aggregate marks secured in BPT examinations. If two or more candidates secured the same in the percentage aggregate marks in BPT examinations, then the date of birth of the candidate will be considered & senior in age will be preferred. Those who desire to take admission in MPT should apply online: www.smu.edu.in and upload the required documents.
