Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Admission 2024 – Post-Basic BSc Nursing is a broad-based education aimed to build upon the skills and competencies acquired at the diploma in nursing level. It is specifically directed to the upgrading of critical thinking skills, competencies and standards required for practice of professional nursing and midwifery as envisaged in National Health Policy

The main objectives of the program are as follows:

– Provide opportunity to a large segment of in-service nurses to upgrade their knowledge and skills to respond to the changing health needs of the society.
– Motivate nurses to maintain clinical competence to provide quality care.
– Develop teaching, administration and research skills.

Objective of Post Basic BSc Nursing

The main objective of starting the Post Basic BSc Nursing courses is that Nursies assume responsibilities as professional, competent nurses and midwives at basic level in
providing promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services. It will also help them make independent decisions in nursing situations, protect the rights of and facilitate individuals and groups in pursuit of health, function in the hospital, community nursing services, and conduct research studies in the areas of nursing practice. They are also expected to assume the role of teacher, supervisor, and manager in clinical/public health settings.

Chhattisgarh Post Basic Nursing & MSc Nursing Entrance Exam 2024 – Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board, Raipur (CG Vyapam) has released the notification CG Post Basic Nursing & MSc Nursing Entrance Exam 2024 for admission to MSc Nursing and Post Basic Nursing Courses for the academic session 2024-25.

 

Who is Eligible for Post Basic BSc Nursing Courses?

In-service Nurses i.e. Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM) having 10+2 with three years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with a minimum of two years of experience (after registration as RNRM) in the profession. (For male nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM programme, should have a certificate in any of the Nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery)
