Eligibility Criteria
B.Sc. Nursing Program
- The candidates applying for admission to B.Sc. Nursing Program must fulfill the following eligibility conditions;
- A candidate must be a domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh as the case may be (if the candidate(s) applying for this course do not have domicile certificate at the time of filling up application form, he/she is advised to upload an undertaking certifying that he/she shall produce the domicile certificate at the time of counselling)
- For Candidates belonging to UT of Ladakh, ST certificate issued by Competent authority of Ladakh shall be treated as Domicile certificate; be at least 17 years old on 31st December
- Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam individually in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English Core/English Elective and must have obtained minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB subjects from Recognised Board Under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board or students appearing in 10+2 exam in science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45% marks
- Be medically fit
B.Sc. Para-medical Courses
- The candidates applying for admission to B.Sc. Para-medical Courses must fulfill the following eligibility conditions;
- A candidate must be a domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh as the case may be (if the candidate(s) applying for this course do not have domicile certificate at the time of filling up application form, he/she is advised to upload an undertaking certifying that he/she shall produce the domicile certificate at the time of counselling)
- For Candidates belonging to UT of Ladakh, ST certificate issued by Competent authority of Ladakh shall be treated as Domicile certificate
- Be at least 17 years old on 31st December
- Have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Science (PCB) and English through recognised Board / University securing minimum 50% and above marks for Open Merit Candidates and 40 % marks and above for candidates belonging to Reserved Categories in aggregate
B.Sc. Technology Courses in SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar
- A candidate must be a domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh as the case may be(if the candidate(s) applying for this course do not have domicile certificate at the time of filling up application form, he/she is advised to upload an undertaking certifying that he/she shall produce the domicile certificate at the time of counselling)
- For Candidates belonging to UT of Ladakh, ST certificate issued by Competent authority of Ladakh shall be treated as Domicile certificate;
- Have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with Science (PCB) and English through recognised Board / University securing minimum 50% and above marks for Open Merit Candidates and 40 % marks and above for candidates belonging to Reserved Categories in aggregate
Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Courses
- A candidate must be a domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh as the case may be(if the candidate(s) applying for this course do not have domicile certificate at the time of filling up application form, he/she is advised to upload an undertaking certifying that he/she shall produce the domicile certificate at the time of counselling)
- For Candidates belonging to UT of Ladakh, ST certificate issued by Competent authority of Ladakh shall be treated as Domicile certificate;
- Have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board and have obtained a Certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM ) and registered as R.N.R.M. with J&K Paramedical Nursing Council
Application Process
- Application Forms have to be submitted online only through the BOPEE websites www.jkbopee.gov.in or www.jakbopee.org within the prescribed date to be notified separately
- Payment of Rs.1000/- only as fee is to be made online through “Integrated Payment Gateway” with the help of any National Credit Card/Debit Card/facility
- The procedures for filing Application Form and eligibility etc. of the candidates have been given in detail in the e-Brochure
Application Fee
- Candidates should pay Rs. 1000/- through online.
Selection Procedure
- The selection will be based on the Common Entrance Test (CET).
Exam Pattern
- The Common Entrance Test consists of Single Paper with three sections comprising Physics, Chemistry and Biology with 180 questions (60 questions from each section) with a time duration of 03.00 hours.
- The questions shall be multiple choice objective types with one mark each.
- There will be 0.25 negative marks for each wrong answer.

- Time Duration: 3 Hours
- Centres of Exam: Entrance Test shall be held at the centres as may be specified by the Board in the cities of Srinagar and Jammu only
Admit Card
- No candidate shall be allowed to enter Test Centre/venue without valid Admit Card in original;
- Admit cards can be downloaded within the prescribed date. However, mere possession of admit card shall not ipso-facto confer eligibility on a candidate who is otherwise ineligible to appear in the Entrance Test
- Admit Cards will be available online. The candidates are advised to download their Admit Cards from the BOPEE official Websites (www.jkbopee.gov.in /www.jakbopee.org) on photo paper printed in colour
