Seats Intake

  1. The Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Sector-32, Chandigarh invites application for admission to three year Postgraduate Degree Courses (MD/MS) for the year-2020.
  1. The total numbers of seats for admission in the year 2020 are 132 (including 4 seats for EWS) which are divided into All India Quota (AIQ), State Quota including Economically Weaker Section (EWS) as below:
All India Quota (AIQ) 66 Seats (including two seats for EWS). In compliance of the Hon’ble Supreme Court decision, 50% of total numbers of seats are reserved for All India Quota.
State Quota 66 Seats (including two seats for EWS). In compliance of the decision of Hon’ble Punjab & Haryana High Court, distribution of 50% State Quota seats

 

Eligibility Criteria for GMCH Chandigarh PG Medical Admission 2020

For All India Quota, State Quota and leftover seats if any
  1. Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.
  1. A candidate must have come in the merit list of NEET-PG 2020 by securing following minimum marks:
  1. General Category/EWS – not less than 50th Percentile; SC Category – not less than 40th Percentile
  1. If the Central Government in consultation with the Medical Council of India may at its discretion lower the minimum marks required for admission to postgraduate courses for candidates belonging to respective categories then these marks so lowered by the Central Government shall be applicable.
  1. The candidates should have completed compulsory rotatory internship satisfactorily by 31st March, 2020.

 

GMCH Chandigarh PG Medical Admission 2020 Application Process

  1. Application form is available online only at GMCH Website https://gmch.gov.in/
  1. Candidate has to fill-up an online application form and submit the same online after completion.
  1. Before filling-up the online Application Form, candidates are advised to go through the admission notice published in the newspaper and instructions given in the prospectus carefully.
  1. Candidates should bring a printout of application submitted online along with specified annexures at the time of counseling.
